Term 4 has been a busy term so far with so much still to take place. Last Tuesday, we held our very first KickStart transition to school program for our 2020 Kindergarten enrolments. This kindergarten transition program assists the students starting in kindergarten next year to become familiar with school routines and procedures. It also provides parents with valuable information about the school and its programs through specifically designed workshops. These workshops will run every Tuesday with the last workshop being held on Tuesday 3 December. Thank you to the wonderful Kindergarten team Miss Twarloh, Mrs Browning and Miss Byfield for all the organisation required to implement this important program at Ringrose Public School. Last Thursday, the Year 6 students hosted our annual Year 6 Fun Day. The Year 6 students have spent a majority of the term through Project Based Learning to plan and prepare for the fun activities that the students participated in on the day. The students enjoyed taking part in all of the activities. All money raised on the day will contribute to the Year 6 Farewell. Thank you to the hard working Stage 3 team of Mrs Cullen, Miss Mastrippolito, Mrs Willis and Mrs Munari for working with the Year 6 students to put on such a fun event. On Monday, a note was sent out to all students regarding the roof works which will be taking place from this week and the rest of the year. This week scaffolding will be placed around the administration block, OOSH, the staffroom and around KT and KB. These areas will be inaccessi- ble for a few days. The pedestrian gates near the carpark will also be closed for a few days. Stu- dents, parents and visitors can still access the main gate as normal and the main office and foyer area will still be in operation during this time. We thank you for your patience during this time. Coming up next week starting on Monday 25 November we will have 90 students from Years 2-6 attending Swimming Scheme for the next two weeks. These students will attend their 40 minute swimming lessons every day for the duration of the two weeks. I would like to thank Miss Nascimben and Mrs Ellington for all their organisation over the past few weeks. As I mentioned earlier on we have a lot happening over the next few weeks. This includes: Presentation Day- Tuesday 10 December Sport Presentation- Tuesday 10 December Year 6 Farewell- Monday 16 December K-6 Party Day- Tuesday 17 December K-6 Movie Day- Wednesday 18 December Keep an eye out for notes which will come out over the next few weeks for further information regarding these events. From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents and Carers,

Can you believe we are already half way through the term? Term 4 has

been a busy term so far with so much still to take place.

Last Tuesday, we held our very first KickStart transition to school program

for our 2020 Kindergarten enrolments. This kindergarten transition

program assists the students starting in kindergarten next year to become

familiar with school routines and procedures. It also provides parents with valuable information

about the school and its programs through specifically designed workshops. These workshops will

run every Tuesday with the last workshop being held on Tuesday 3 December. Thank you to the

wonderful Kindergarten team Miss Twarloh, Mrs Browning and Miss Byfield for all the

organisation required to implement this important program at Ringrose Public School.

Last Thursday, the Year 6 students hosted our annual Year 6 Fun Day. The Year 6 students have

spent a majority of the term through Project Based Learning to plan and prepare for the fun

activities that the students participated in on the day. The students enjoyed taking part in all of

the activities. All money raised on the day will contribute to the Year 6 Farewell. Thank you to the

hard working Stage 3 team of Mrs Cullen, Miss Mastrippolito, Mrs Willis and Mrs Munari for

working with the Year 6 students to put on such a fun event.

On Monday, a note was sent out to all students regarding the roof works which will be taking

place from this week and the rest of the year. This week scaffolding will be placed around the

administration block, OOSH, the staffroom and around KT and KB. These areas will be inaccessi-

ble for a few days. The pedestrian gates near the carpark will also be closed for a few days. Stu-

Mrs Zugna

Roy Ringrose has visited Year 6 this week!

Last Thursday, I had a great time at the annual

Year 6 Fun Day. The Year 6 students worked very hard to

organise this special day. I saw students from K-5

participating in a range of activities loaded with fun and

competition for all to enjoy. I saw lots of girls and boys

winning prizes at the games stalls but more importantly the

biggest prize of all was seeing how much fun everyone had!

I have been told that the day was a major success and that

the students were able to raise $408. That is amazing! The

money raised will go towards the Year 6 Farewell which I am

looking forward to attending.

Remembrance Day 2019

Ringrose Public School commemorated Remembrance Day this year on Monday 11th November with a short ceremony in the hall before recess. The school leaders led our ceremony, focusing on the parts and symbols of the ceremony and the history behind them. Zuleikha 5/6W and Zeenat KB had the honour to place the wreath during the ceremony. A big thank you to the students who were very respectful and solemn during this important occasion.

Canteen News

Our canteen now meets the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy. This has been recognised with a Great Choice Certificate, which will be displayed in the canteen foyer. Our canteen menu offers a variety of recess and lunch choices and has recently undergone accreditation un-der the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy. This is about giving stu-dents across NSW a taste for healthy foods and to make the healthy choice, the easy choice. Our menu is marked with “E” for every day foods and “O” for occasional foods. These are classifications suggested by the strategy.

Thank you to everyone that took part in our Cookie Dough fundraiser. It has been a great success.

Please note the Canteen will be closed on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th December (last week of School).

For students attending Swimming Scheme in Weeks 7 and 8, if your child is ordering lunch AND is in Group 1, you need to put Group 1 swimming on the lunch bag. Group 2 students may order lunches as normal.

We have also received several lunch orders with the incorrect money. Please refer to the updated canteen price list for your lunch orders, which can be found on the School Website, Skoolbag app or in the School Office.
