The Miami East High School and District administration has worked closely with the senior class officers

along with our senior class advisor to develop this year’s graduation plans. The one thing that was very

important to the class officers was the ability to graduate TOGETHER as an entire class. The

administration was able to devise a plan that achieves the wishes of the MEHS class of 2020 and also

meets the standards set forth by the Ohio Health Department. Graduation plans for the Miami East High

School Class of 2020 have been finalized and approved by Dennis Propes, the Health Commissioner for

Miami County. Date: Friday, May 22 Inclement Weather Plan: Saturday, May 23 @6:30pm Monday, May 25 @6:30pm

of the K-8 building and make your way toward the back parking lot of MEHS.

Families will be directed to a parking spot by school officials. Vehicles will be parked based on size of vehicle.

Ohio Dept. of Health Order Closing School Facilities

A major announcement yesterday was the Director of the Ohio Dept. of Health’s order

clearly stated that this extends to all school facilities as well and includes stadiums,

baseball/softball diamonds and tracks. This clearly prohibits all schools from making their

facilities available to club/travel/non-interscholastic sports during this mandatory shut-down.
