I found these on the ‘Hedkandi’ site and really liked the style and close-up of the front covers. As they still hint at a beach yet they do not show the girls body in a bikini which I like as that would be too revealing and difficult for me to shoot this time of year. It may also portray the wrong image. My favourite image is the over the shoulder shot of a medium close up on the girl, which looks really effective and another interesting image. I like the way the females are idealised as they are cartoons instead of real people which connotes fun and excitement and shows that it is different to any other magazine. I may use a similar idea to this for the front cover of my magazine.
