Letter from the PublisherOctober 1993 | Premiere Issue
Dear Fellow East Cobber,
Welcome to the first edition of the EAST COBBER! We are excited to bring you this new
publication and we hope you will share in this excitement too! After all, isn’t it about
time there was a publication created especially for those 66,000 of us who have cho-
sen to live in beautiful East Cobb County?
As fellow East Cobb County residents, we have found it difficult to get information on
the issues we are asked to vote on, where to locate a quality restaurant in the area or
just finding something to do that doesn’t include driving downtown. After conducting
some qualitative research (otherwise known as “asking around”) we discovered fel-
low “Eastcobbers” were also encountering these very same dilemmas. That’s why we
decided to develop the EAST COBBER. This FREE (thanks to advertisers)monthly publi-
cation provides a timely and easy-to-read source of information regarding the people,
places and issues that make East Cobb County unique and such a great place to live.
The EAST COBBER includes stories that will improve your life, your livelihood, and your
lifestyle.
By publishing the EAST COBBER, we hope to build a better sense of community in the
East Cobb area. Your stories and ideas are vital to achieving this goal. The articles and
stories in this newsletter will share information and ideas contributed from Eastcobbers
just like you. Let’s learn from each other. Let’s find out how we can help each other.
Please write to the EAST COBBER and let us know what you think, let us know how we
are doing, let us know how you are doing, and what you are doing.
Sincerely
Cynthia RozzoFounder | Publisher
