We’re all local to the Ballarat region of Victoria and love the opportunity to work in this beautiful region. Collectively our experiences are broad and range from eLearning design right across to Biomedical Science. We haven’t just hired our team with X amount of experience, we have looked for the right people to suit our work, clients and future.

Job TypeThe employment of this role will be on a casual employment basis. Approx. 2 days per week which is likely to increase over time.

Reports ToYou will report directly to your Manager, or if not available, the Creative Director.

Job OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced front end developer with expert knowledge in programming. You should be able to bring prior experience to each project.

You’ll be required to work independently and as part of a small group, both within our team and community network. You must be able to take a technical brief and bring it to life through your code. You must consistently work to a high standard of professionalism, align your work with client briefs and stay on top of technology trends.

We are looking to hire someone who we can integrate with our multi-disciplinary team and we’ll focus on fostering your career ambitions within your role.

Responsibilities and DutiesThe Programmer role encompasses the following responsibilities and duties:

• Uses their extensive experience with development to determine the best platforms and frameworks

• Develops design that is clear, user-friendly and efficient

• Develops quality documentation for internal and end-users

• Confidently develops applications cross-platform

• Has strong knowledge in best practices of their industry

• Collaborates with digital designers and the Creative Director to implement UI and UX design requirements

• Knowledgeable of web accessibility guidelines and how to implement them

Essential SkillsDemonstrated skill and experience in the following languages:

• HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Development experience using WordPress

• Experience with UX Design practices

• Knowledge in the use of cPanel

• Understands and complies with AAA Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

Nice To Have Skills• Webflow

• Adobe XD

• Adobe InDesign

• PHP

• Using API’s

• React

• Domain and DNS management

Qualifications• Ideally a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any related discipline.
