Personal Service: Chartwells at Fitchburg State University offers premier catering services. Our goal is to make your event unforgettable! With this in mind, our catering staff will work closely with you and our Executive Chef making the planning process a pleasurable and efficient experience. No matter what type of event you have planned, you can count on exceptional food quality and presentation from start to finish.

Wait staff: Our professional and courteous event managers and wait staff are experienced in exquisitely orchestrating your event. Strong food knowledge, service background and an eye for aesthetics make our staff uniquely qualified.

Service and Style: We pay close and continuous attention to all of the ingredients important to a successful event. Our catering consultants serve as a single point of contact for our full range of services, making life easier for you and ensuring smooth communication from the first phone call to the finishing touches.

Boxed Lunches 7.50 PER PERSON

Packaged in attractive disposable containers with a napkin and eating utensils. Potato chips, a cookie, and choice of a bottled water or carbonated soft drink are included with each lunch. Please select up to three sandwich choices.

Club Wrap This delicious wrap includes ham, turkey, bacon, and swiss cheese topped with lettuce and tomato.

Italian Hoagie The Italian hoagie is topped with ham, turkey, salami, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Italian pepper relish.

Vegetable Wrap A garlic-herbed wrapped stuffed with fresh seasonal vegetables and cheese.

Mediterranean Chicken Wrap Crispy chicken strips, shredded lettuce, tomato, cucumber, feta cheese, and oregano in a flour tortilla wrap.

Deli Croissant Select one sandwich: veggie, ham, turkey or cheese.

Executive Boxed Lunches 9.50 PER PERSON

Includes potato chips, chef’s choice salad, gourmet cookie, and your choice of bottled water or carbonated soft drinks. Please select up to three sandwich choices.

Roast Beef and Smoked Turkey Breast Roast beef and smoked turkey breast topped with cheddar cheese, roasted garlic mayonnaise, romaine lettuce and a slice of tomato.

Bistro Sandwich on a Baguette Smoked turkey breast, honey ham and provolone cheese piled high. Topped with romaine lettuce, sliced tomato and Dijon mustard.

Roasted Italian Vegetables on Sourdough Roll Layered Marinated and grilled eggplant, zucchini and portabella mushroom topped with mozzarella cheese, red pepper strips and fresh basil. Drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette.

Grilled Honey Mustard Chicken Breast with Maple Ham Layered grilled chicken breast sliced thin. Topped with maple ham, Swiss cheese, tomato and coarse chopped spinach leaves.

Plan Your Event

FIRST STEP

To plan the specifics of your event or for general inquires please contact Ellen Sullivan or the catering office at 978-665-3207 or by e-mailing Ellen at: [email protected]

Contact the Events management office at 978-665-3737 to request a room reservation. You will be asked to provide the following information: Name of group, date of event, time, approximate number of guest and type of event. The event staff will help you determine the best possible room location for your event.

GUIDELINES FOR PLANNING YOUR EVENT

To assist with providing you the best service and experience we would ask that you submit orders for refreshment breaks at least, 3 business days prior to the event; and 7 business days for receptions and meals. In order to ensure a quality experience we ask all events be finalized no less than 3 business days in advance of the event. However, we will attempt to accommodate all short notice requests but it may be necessary to assess an additional fee to accommodate these requests.

Catered meals include one and one half hours of service time. Should you need extended services, those services can be negotiated. We will help you determine appropriate staffing to minimize cost.

GUARANTEED GUEST COUNTS

The ensure a quality event, final guest counts must be confirmed 3 business days prior to the event.

If the actual number of guests exceeds confirmed count, every effort will be made to accommodate the additional guests (a substitute menu may be required). An additional charge will be applied for extra guests.

For practical purposes, some of our menu offerings require a minimum number of guests, however, we do have other menu items and options available to accommodate all group sizes. The Catering Staff will be glad to work with you to find a menu that meets your needs, and fits within your budget.

CANCELLATION

If notice of cancellation is received 2 business days in advance of the event, you will only be charged any expenses incurred. If notice is received less than 2 business days in advance of the event you may be charged the full amount.

SERVICE LOCATIONS

Events held off of the main campus or during non-business hours may require an additional charge. Events held off campus for non-university affiliated groups are not permitted.

PAYMENT

University events must supply an organization account number at the time the order is placed.

Payments for non-university sponsored events are due on the day of the event. Check, credit card or cash. State and local sales tax will be added to invoices of individuals or groups not exempt from such tax.

SECURITY

Fitchburg State University and Chartwells Dining service is not liable for personal belongings left in public function or event areas. Should the university or Chartwells equipment be missing up on pickup of a completed event the host group may be responsible for replacement cost.
