WHAT IS FÚTBOL CON CORAZÓN?
FÚTBOL CON CORAZÓN is a not for profit organization in Barranquilla, Colombia,that uses the power of soccer to provide better life opportunities to under-privileged children and teenagers.
VISION
FÚTBOL CON CORAZÓN will contribute to the social transformation of Barranquilla by promoting four core values: tolerance, solidarity, honesty and respect.
MISSION
We build safe and peaceful communities, using the ”Soccer for Peace” methodology with girls, boys and teenagers, ages 5-16.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PROGRAM
• The target population consists of
boys and girls between 5 – 16 years
old.
• Every soccer field has room for
approximately 300 children.
• Training, workshops, psychological
advice and nutrition are provided

from Monday through Friday.
• Soccer tournaments are held on
weekends.
• Children are required to be enrolled
in school.
• People from the neighborhood work
to promote nutrition and other

In order to reach our goal of 100 interventions with our model, which
corresponds to approximately 45,000 children and other beneficiaries, we
have created the following types of interventions:

La Paz La Paz –– 1st 1st InterventionIntervention
• With the help of Father Cyrilus and the leaders of the community, FCC started its first “Mega” intervention at La Paz, including two mini-fields of compacted earth, completely enclosed with walls and nets, and with a roof. There are also

nets, and with a roof. There are also bleachers, bathrooms, showers, a lunch room, and office spaces.
• Supports 300 children, between 5-16 years old, who attend training and workshops twice a week, receive snacks, lunch, psychological asessments, and educative workshops.
• The soccer complex supports 35 teams, divided into four categories. We are currently playing our first tournament (lasting six months), which is sponsored by Carulla.

• Within the soccer complex we provide space for 12 promotional banners for businesses supporting FCC. Each banner costs $158 (USD)/month, is 4X1.2 meters, weighs 18 oz., and is printed in color.
