Strategic (Component) Priorities Develop, Plan, Program, & Resource AR 2025 as a versatile mix of
technical & tactical capabilities in service to the Total Force. Develop National Leaders by leveraging military & civilian skills,
training, & experiences from the private & public sectors. Sustain the AR as an All-Volunteer Force comprised of resilient
Soldiers, Civilians, & Families supported by engaged employers & caring communities.
Ensure AR Soldiers & Civilians are Committed to the Army & the Profession of Arms - tell the Army’s story, be a “Soldier for Life.”
Use the “Plan, Prepare, Provide” & the “Private Public Partnership” initiatives of the AR to generate individual, leader, & unit readiness;
AR Ambassadors can also help here, know them & use them. Maximize the Army Reserve’s Unique Global Command Capabilities.
Army Reserve Priorities
7 UNCLASSIFIED 16 JULY 2014 Twice The Citizen! Army Strong!
Operational (Command) Lead & Grow Leaders to serve the Army – instill trust & confidence; officers
empower your NCOs, NCOs train your officers, don’t forget about your civilian workforce; use training events as your basic model for growing leaders.
Man & Care for our Force – everyone has the responsibility to recruit & retain; reach out to those who are hurting, we can prevent suicides; never forget our wounded warriors; know what Fort Family is & use it.
Train to Standard – training is a command team responsibility; make sure your battle assemblies are NOT administrative assemblies; utilize partnerships & relationships with Active & Guard units; get serious with physical fitness.
Use Resources Responsibly – do less with less, but whatever you do, do it better than anyone else; create a culture of cost management & audit readiness; find ways to save money.
Generate Readiness in all that you do - the Unit Status Report (USR) is your report card for readiness; don’t do things that do not generate readiness.
Live the Army Values, Enforce Accountability & Discipline – we have no place in our Army for sexual assault or harassment of any kind; don’t tolerate anyone who fails to meet these non-negotiable values – lets stay Army Strong!

10 UNCLASSIFIED 16 JULY 2014 Twice The Citizen! Army Strong!
• What it is: A multi-year effort to transition the Army of today to the Army of the future Most important Army initiative for the next 10 years Affects the Total Army (AC & RC)
• What it does: Revises Army concepts to change how the Army operates Identifies & fields technological solutions available within the next 10 years for a
leaner but more lethal BCT. Designs new or modified Army organizations; will develop an “Operational and
Organizational” concept for the BCT and enablers.• Why it is important to the AR & ARNG:
Force design & force mix decisions resulting from Force 2025 will affect the future AR & ARNG.
May provide new opportunities for the RC to change / adapt current capabilities for future requirements
