September 26, 2012 6:30pm Coach Patinos Classroom #153 Topic: Coach
Patino handed out and discussed Program Standards and Parent
Expectations. There are 9 main rules that need to be followed with
Parents Expectations and how to handle different situations. Extra
copies of these rules will be available at future Baseball Booster
Meetings. Topic: New Officers of the Booster Club The following
were nominated; nominations seconded and voted in for the 2012-2013
Boosters Board: President:Robin Mayernick Vice-President:Marta
Channel Secretary:Renee Soderquist Treasurer:Vacant. Robin
Mayernick acting Several considering; board will continue to
solicit volunteers and nominations Committee positions Tabled until
winter to allow freshman parents as well as parents of students
currently involved with other sports to volunteer. Topic: Baby
shower for Coach Patino and wife Missy The shower will commence on
Saturday Oct 13 th @ 2pm at the Channel home. Invitations will be
printed and handed out to all baseball players to invite their
families. Marta Channel asked for donations towards a gift as well
as help for the party. Topic: End Polio Now! Jog a Thon Fundraiser
Saturday Sept 29 th, Boys need to go out and get some fundraiser
dollars! 100% of funds raised will go back into the program. Coach
Patinos goal is for each jobber to raise $500, though he realizes
that its early in the year & well likely be short of that goal.
Topic: Tribe Baseball Website WebMaster Ken Tsuda volunteered to
continue in this position for the 2012- 2013 season. There may be
an issue with the Tribe Baseball having its own separate website
according to the ACLU. There will be a meeting on October 16 th or
October 22 nd at the district to discuss the matter and see if the
Website may have to change or be removed. Website renewals/annual
fees are due end of November, so determination needs to be made
prior to then. Topic: BUDGET: Currently we have $4500 in our
account Spending: 1.A motion was made to purchase a lawnmower for
$1000.00 for field maintenance. Motion voted on and approved. 2.A
motion was made to maintain in retaining Matt as our groundskeeper
@ $500/month. Motion voted on and approved..

September 26, 2012 6:30pm Coach Patinos Classroom #153 Topic: Marti
Gras Fundraiser Feb 2013 It has been decided that there will not be
any kids attending this year. There could be an issue with a bar
and kids in the same area. The date being looked at is the Saturday
before the season starts. The date will most likely be a Saturday
in mid-Feb, depending upon site availability. Last years Marti Gras
raised about $7000. Current plan is to hold it at the VFW Hall in
Brea again. Some question if hall is still available, as they think
there is a For Sale sign posted. Marta may have an opportunity to
have it held at the Muckenthauler for no charge, but will not know
if that is an option until mid-November. We will need lots of
volunteers to make this years event even better and more successful
than lasts! Topic: Golf Tournament Fundraiser? There was an idea
brought up about possibly setting up a golf tournament to raise
money as well. No one has been put in charge to explore this
further. Need to request volunteers to chair and support this
fundraiser at the next boosters meeting. Topic: Ryan Lemmon League
(Varsity) This league is for Varsity Players only. Tryouts will be
in December. The players would play Tues/Thurs evenings in the
months of December and January. The stadium location would be in
Irvine, off of Barranca Parkway. Topic: Media Guide A media guide
and various team pictures was shown and discussed. There was great
interest in creating a guide. Sheryl and Dale Moore offered to
manage this for the 2012-2013 season, and want to have parents
designated at each level for photos. Best to utilize the same
printer as the past two years to save in set up fees. Target having
this completed and available for purchase early in the season, no
later than March. Renee Soderquist volunteered to take pictures at
the End Polio Now Jog-a-thon to start out the guide. Topic: Cow
Patty Bingo Fundraiser It was suggested that we try a Cow Patty
Bingo fundraiser. Since we already have the cows, the major cost of
the event (cow rental) would be eliminated. Perhaps work as a joint
effort with Agro. Sell tickets for $5 throughout school. Event
tends to be very popular with students. Andy Bell to research
option, rules and requirements. Topic: End of Meeting and Next
Scheduled Meeting Meeting adjourned at approximately 8:00pm. Next
Meeting: Wednesday October 24 th @ 6:30pm in Coach Patinos
classroom #153. (moved to November)
