BOARD MEETING: Thursday, October 18, 1 p.m.
A Message from Your Senior Club President,
Pauline Aguero:
This time of year I am reminded of the quote by L.M.
Montgomery, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are
Octobers.” The summer heat is behind us, kids are back in
school and we are busy planning for the holidays. Our Annual
Halloween Bash is on Thursday, October 25th from 3-6 p.m.
and it is our last Social for the 2018 year. Come in costume for
a fun time!
We have a lot of Senior Programs coming up this October. The
Ballot Initiative Forum presented by the League of Women
Voters is on October 10th, the OCTA presentation on the
ACCESS program is on October 17th and don’t forget the Flu
Clinic on October 25th - plus much more! Look for the flyers
under the Community Center Activities Board with upcoming
events and activities.
We have been having a good time at the movies on Friday
afternoons at 12:30 p.m. Check out the Senior Newsletter for
the upcoming titles.
The Annual Membership Drive is coming up in November. Be
sure to watch for your envelope in the November Newsletter to
send in your 2019 membership dues if you haven’t already
done so. Don’t forget the Annual Membership Meeting is on
Thursday, December 6th. We are hard at work planning this
event for the members.
Our monthly Board Meeting is open to all members. The next
meeting is on Thursday, October 18th at next meeting at 1:00
pm. Stop by to see what is going on at your club. Everyone is
welcome!
