I’m so glad you’ve found your way to the FREE TROVE OF
TEACHING TREASURES - just another way of saying Free
Resource Library. You know we early years teachers love to
put a fun spin on everything.
It’s so important to give young kids a love of learning; to have them want to be in
your classroom each and every day. This is not always an easy task!
I know what it’s like to try and teach children who are disengaged from the learning
process; who aren’t working on their assigned work. Kids who see everything as a
chore meant to ruin their day or with some of my more dramatic kids - their life!
I soon discovered that using games and interactive worksheets changed my kids’
opinions of school. My kids became more engaged in the learning process, they enjoyed
doing literacy and math centers AND were happy to be at school.
This is why I’m so excited to share all of my best teaching ideas and free resources
with you in my TUESDAY TEACHING TREASURES email. Of course, if you’d like to
check out my games and activities now just click on the purple TpT button below to
get to my store. Peta

You need: a paper clip for the spinner and a colored pencil for each player.
2 players - Take it in turns to spin the spinner. Find the bucket with the answer and trace around it.
If it has already been traced (regardless of who traced it) you may color it in and claim it as your own.
Stop play when a player has colored 8 buckets. 1 player - Follow the rules above but color 12 buckets before stopping play. © TeachingTrove 2015
This game is from my print and play packs and has been designed to provide a fun way to practice addition and/or subtraction. The game can be played in pairs or used as an interactive work- sheet by a single player. Place it in your math center, use it with your fast finishers or use it as a fun alternative to regular homework.

Color GamesLaminate both the game and the ‘I can’ visual rules. You may prefer the ‘How toPlay’ rules for older children. At the top of the ‘I can’ visual, you will find the game board required. Each game has what game board it is written at the bottom of the page. Once you have laminated the game or placed it in a plastic sleeve, children can use dry erase markers with the game. Children have the option of coloring the item or initialing it (to keep your markers clean). They should record their answers on the recording sheet provided or alternatively have them record their answerson a mini whiteboard.
Black Ink GamesThe black ink games include the rules. The games can be printed and used once or laminated if you prefer to save on colored ink.
