Damien holds BSc, MSc and PhD degrees from the department of Computer Science and Information Systems at

the University of Limerick, a BSc in Mathematics from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), a diploma in Financial

Management from the ACCA and most recently, a Postgraduate Diploma in Product Management from DIT. He has

more than 20 years’ experience in the telecoms, finance and energy management sectors. He has worked in both

large multi-nationals including Motorola, Hutchison 3G (now 3) and Merrill Lynch, and a number of organizations in the start-up

phase, including Baltimore Technologies, Piercom, HedgeServ and ResourceKraft.

Damien is the Technical Lead for BSI’s Research and Development projects. He is responsible for software development

infrastructure and operations. In addition to this, Damien was responsible for leading our involvement in the FP7 project SAWSOC

and is currently a leading contributor to another FP7 project Ecossian.
