Fundamentals of Petroleum Exploration, Drilling & Production for Non-Technical Personnel Training Class Syllabus to be adapted According to customer needs This 4-day course provides understandable fundamentals of key surface/subsurface physical processes and technologies of petroleum engineering to non-technical professionals involved or interested in the oil and gas industry. After a worldwide overview of the petroleum business, the course will describe the associated petroleum activities in the natural order as they appeared in a field exploitation breaking down into a discussion of each discipline such as: reservoir exploration, drilling, completion, production and economics. As an introductory course, the sessions will focus on relevant and practical issues helping the participants to acquire vocabulary, concepts, methodologies, techniques and tools used in petroleum engineering. Course Objective This module is part of an integrated reservoir management program offered by Frontender Corporation, and aims to: 1. Provide an understandable introduction to petroleum engineering for IT and/or non- technical professionals 2. Acquire vocabulary, concepts, methodologies, techniques and tools used in petroleum engineering Learning Objectives Participants will learn and understand how to: Pre-requisites Lecture intensity level to be adjusted to the average knowledge gaps of the class. Teaching Strategies 1. Theoretical presentations from experts on the field 2. Computational animations of the physics of fluids and recovery processes in porous media 3. Practice sessions 4. Discussion of technical projects
