At Kingswood, we believe teamwork is really important, so our top ten fundraising ideas are based on inspiring your group to work together!

Host a quizPut together a theme, some questions, and maybe even a picture round to draw everyone together for an inexpensive fun sponsored event.

Disco timeTurn your group hall or venue into a ballroom. Why not invite other groups from around your local area to join in the fun and make new friends while raising money for your trip.

Sports marathonWhether you are part of a sports group, or just love getting active, why not pick a sporting activity such as football or dance and see if you and your group can keep moving for the whole day.

A hilltop hikePick a day, the tallest hill in your area and some hiking boots and

get walking! Let your friends and family know the distance that you are planning to walk and ask them to sponsor you.

Dog walkPrint off one of our fundraising posters or flyers to let your

community know that your group will be offering to help walk their dogs, in return for a donation.

your Kingswood trip!

The grown up bits

Set up a JustGiving pageRaise money online by setting up a JustGiving fundraising page. It’s simple to set up and you can update your donors with news from your fundraising events, and even post photos after your visit to Kingswood to show them how much fun you had.

Plan in advanceWhichever event or group challenge you decide to hold, choose a date several weeks or months in advance with enough time to give your group members’ parents an update on your fundraising plan.

Spread the wordDownload and print one of Kingswood’s fundraising posters to let your community know what you’re fundraising for and which event you are holding.

Parents and family members might want to share these at their workplace and you could even contact the local press to see if they are interested in your event.

Gift AidIf you are a charity or community amateur sports club, you can claim up to an extra 25% of what your sponsors donate towards your Kingswood trip. To find out more, about Gift Aid please visit hmrc.gov.co.uk

Always say thank you! It’s a lovely gesture when someone decides to sponsor your cause, so why not send a thank you letter from your group to tell them how much you enjoyed your Kingswood adventure because of their help.

Health and SafetyWhen holding an event, you should identify all potential risks and hazards beforehand. Please be aware that Kingswood accepts no liability for third-party events outside of our centres.
