Event attendance tracking • For COVID-19 contact
tracing purposes, tracking attendance at in-person events and saving it for 30 days after the event is required (until further notice)
• Tracking attendance is also helpful when it comes time to verify your active membership during elections
• The MBAA bylaws define an “active member” as a first year who has attended at least 2 events
• FuquaConnect provides several options for tracking attendance, but the easiest is the attendance URL

This link becomes active AFTER the event start time & can be shared with attendees up to 72 hours after an event to
automatically record them as “attended”.
Pro tip: make this URL a TinyURL, Bit.ly, or QR code to share more easily • TinyURL generator: https://tinyurl.com/app • Bit.ly generator: https://bitly.com/ • QR code generator: https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/

Club Websites
Best practices for club websites • REQUIRED for professional & diversity clubs (optional for
activity clubs • SEPARATE from your FuquaConnect page • Primarily used for external audiences like prospective or
admitted students, alumni, or corporate sponsors • Sites@Duke is the recommended platform and most club
websites are already using it • More administrative support and continuity if you use Sites@Duke (i.e.
Sara Wakefield is back-up admin on most, if not all, club sites created via Sites@Duke)
• MUST pass off administrative privileges to new leadership • Outdated club website info makes Fuqua look bad to
prospective/admitted students!
