Canterbury College has taken things to a whole new level by applying these famous words by Steve Jobs. The design and functionality of this space work seamlessly together making a strong aesthetic statement as well as providing a flexible learning space to the students. The Civic team put their heads together and their most innovative ideas forward. From that discussion, space plans and 3D renders came into play. Canterbury College were blown away by the creative and ‘outside the box’ concepts that were presented to them. This space radiates of modern, 21st century working spaces, embracing Civics’ Mode 3 philosophy. With zones from Campfire, Cave, Waterhole and Mountain Top, this library space accompanies for all potential uses with no limitations.

16 CIVIC AUSTRALIA
After a very successful outcome of the Canterbury senior space, Civic Australia was approached to design the new Junior Space, also known as their ‘Discovery Centre’. The school is a beautiful campus that overlooks the Logan River. It encompasses state-of-the-art facilities and a student population which now exceeds 1,400.
The brief was to create something “wow”, a space that made a strong impact on the students as well as everyone who walked in. The Civic team worked on many different concepts till the client felt we had mastered their vision. Over 9 custom joinery designs were created, to tailor specifically to our client’s requirements.
The finished project was nothing short of a success. The detailed design journey paid off as happy students and teachers use this space in their day to day activities. The work has been highly spoken of by users of the space, parents who visit for conferences as well as educational professionals.

The Springfield Anglican College embraces a
beautiful, sophisticated furniture solution to compliment the natural surroundings and create a peaceful learning
environment.

From a friendly phone call, grew a breath-taking project to life. A project that sits in a beautiful building at The Springfield Anglican College. The Queensland College leaned on Civic Australia’s knowledge and experience to transform their library space into something greater.
Seeking a more sophisticated furniture solution, The Springfield Anglican College was intrigued to embrace Civic’s Mode 3 philosophy. After being presented design concepts, Civic put their heads together to finalise the design incorporating and utilising the feedback. Custom colours and finishes were sorted, and the production was carried out.
Collectively with Curved Bookcases, Concentric Units, Pod Banquette Units and Ottomans, the end result was magnificent. The outcome is a stunning project that is modern, strategic and encompasses the Mode 3 philosophy in a modern way.

De La Salle College, Revesby Heights is a systemic, Roman Catholic day school for boys located in Revesby Heights, in the south-west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The school was founded as a school of the De La Salle brothers in 1960.
The school’s staff area, a library and 3 classrooms needed refurbishing. The 3 classrooms had to encompass flexible furniture so it could open and convert to an assembly area when required. Tim Logue, principal, worked closely with Ben Rowland (Project Consultant) & Rebecca Camilleri (Interior Designer) to finalise the furniture, quantities and finishes
The 3 spaces are a creative mix of the huddle lounge, classic blocks ottomans, nexus seating and our most popular Evo chairs and Nastrom desks to name a few. Complimentary colours coupled with a high standard of quality provides the future generation learning areas that inspires young men to think & approach tasks differently. Civic also custom designed & manufactured the librarian’s desk to suit the needs of the school.

“Civic Australia have transformed our
space into a stimulating learning environment and created an environment where learning thrives.”
Rebecca Fitzpatrick, Head of IRC (Innovation
& Research Centre)
Spotlight on
Macarthur Anglican School commissioned Civic Australia to design a new layout that would assist in welcoming the students back into the learning space. The brief consisted of; a flexible learning space, durable hard-wearing furniture & a design that would bring the ‘wow’ factor back into libraries.
The result is a Civic transformation. Bold colours of aqua, magenta & lime green blend with cafe tables made of natural oak and soft seating. These pieces are perfectly accompanied by the Evo Chairs & Campfire units. Students can choose to work in the quieter Cave spaces or collaborate in the Campfire configurations.
“I’m actually excited to study now!”
