• In the current Era of Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0, some jobs will be eliminated, others will grow, and new ones will be created

• It is extremely hard to envision the pace of automation and AI-based technologies adoption or to sharply predict the dynamics of job market

• Consequently, educational institutions must adopt new strategies to cope with the change and

including self-learning, knowledge finding and filtering, and entrepreneurship rather than knowledge transfer,

• Virtual labs, augmented reality, online cloud resources, cheap learning kits andmaker spaces for large equipment are replacing the traditional labs and provide better availability and reliability



• It all starts with real collaboration and integration between industry and university

• Involvement of industry in planning future university degrees and reshaping current degrees is needed more than any time before

• On the other side, involvement of University in planning industry owned and delivered certificates shall strengthen these certificates with the necessary background knowledge

• Joint planning and collaboration will facilitate the accreditation process

• Placement tests may be used to assess the student knowledge level gained from online resources and work experience and provide personalized fast track programs

• Beside other classical assessment techniques, field/in-site evaluation at industry shall be crucial and of mutual benefits

• Faculty staff shall gain better understanding of industrial work and needs while assessing the students understanding and progress in applying gained knowledge

Future of University Assessment System


• Online examination among number of methodologies that shall be highly adopted in the future universities examination

• Project-based assessment shall replace exam-based assessment

• With the help of online examination systems, university's examinations shall be available all the year and shall follow the certifications model instead of following the semester based schedules

Reformation of Examination


• More flexible system that allow for experience

transfer and transfer of online and in-field learning

to degree credit

• Personalized Programs shall be needed
