Vishwakarma Day, also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti, is a dayof celebration for Vishwakarma, a Hindu god, the divine architect. This yearVishwakarma Puja was held on 17th October 2018 in ME Workshopconducted by department of Mechanical Engineering.The Head ofDepartment, Faculty and Students of Mechanical Department seekedblessing of Vishwakarma God.

QUALITY CONCEPT CANCLAVE INTEGRATED WITH TQM

Mini CCQC-2018 successfullyorganized on 17th Nov.2018 at G LBajaj Technology & ManagementGreater Noida. The main purpose ofthis program was to evaluate thequality concept of the teams. QualityImprovement Teams, Small GroupActivity (SGA) Teams, Cross FunctionalTeams consisting of Officers andExecutives using various qualityconcepts viz. TPM, Five-S, Kaizen orGroup Kaizen, Six Sigma, Poke Yoke,BPR and SMED etc.

The five day faculty development programme organized byDepartment of Mechanical Engineering, G. L. Bajaj Institute ofTechnology and Management started on 29th January 2019 at10.00 am with a welcome note of Dr. V. R. Mishra (Head of theDepartment, Mechanical Engineering) followed by welcome noteof Prof. Satish Chand (Professor, M.E Department). Dr. RamakantPandey (Associate Professor, M.E Department, G. L. Bajaj Institute)anchored the session. There were many great lectures deliveredby various dignitaries in the period of 5 days, topics ranging from“Advanced Ultra Super-critical Technology of power Plants” to“Steam Generators of Modern Thermal Power Plants”. It was allfollowed by valedictory session in which Prof Satish Chandradelivered a vote of thanks.

UNO Minda Kosei Aluminium Wheel Pvt. Ltd. Haryana 2018

19 students of B. Tech, III year, Mechanical Engineering of G. L. Bajaj Institute of Tech. and Management, Greater Noida with their Faculties have visited UNO Minda Kosei Aluminum Wheel Pvt. Ltd. Haryana, On 8th October,2018. Students were accompanied by Mr. Vishal Srivastava and Mr. Sushil Maddhesiya.

JCB INDIA Faridabad, Haryana

G.L. Bajaj Institute of Tech. and Management had organized an industrial visit to JCB India, Faridabad.30 students of B-Tech Mechanical Engineering batch had been taken to the industrial excursion. They were made to see the different parts of the plant. J.C. Bamford Excavators Limited, universal known as JCB, is a British multinational corporation.

AMTEK AUTO LIMITED, Gurugram , Haryana

DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OF G.L. BAJAJ had organised an industrial visit on 11 October 2018 to AMTEK AUTO LIMITED. It is located in industrial area of GURUGRAM 65 km from our college. Around 110 students of third year and second year visited amtek where all learnt about production of connecting rod and engine case. The visit was organised with prior permission and guidance of our HOD Dr. V R Mishra. Dr. Shivam Mishra, Dr. Amardeep, Dr. Ashish Gupta were the Coordinators for this industrial visit.

The Motivational Lecture for Budding Engineers was held at SBG Hall GLBITM Gr. Noida, Uttar Pradesh on 10th Oct 2018 organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering. The students and faculty member from Mechanical Branch were attending the lecture. Prof. V. R. Mishra (HOD, ME) welcome the speaker Prof. R. S. Nirjar by given him a bouquet and brief about the program

Amit Sharma of Batch 2013-2017 of Department of Mechanical Engineering has cleared Indian Engineering Services Exam with All India Rank 27.
