We have had no shortage of rain
these past few weeks but our two major projects are continuing on as scheduled. The driving range mats were installed the last week of August and the pavers are scheduled for installation the first week of September.
The bunker project is staying on schedule as well. Weather permitting the back nine will be completed by Labor Day with the exception of compacting the sand. Please know that the bunker renovation process does include compacting the new sand but it will be up to six months before the sand completely settles. Once the compaction is complete our maintenance crew will implement new grooming techniques to expedite the settling process. This will include not raking the face of the bunkers allowing them to get firm quicker. Having a firm face will encourage the ball to roll down to the base of the bunker.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve and update the Waterlefe Golf Course.

CONGRATULATIONSTO THE WINNERS OF OUR AUGUST EVENTS:
We are happy to report several projects have been completed in-house. While working on the
course we were able to watch golfers and hear feedback about their rounds. We decided we could make a few changes that may help our course become more golfer-friendly.
Let me explain: We decided to enlarge and/or change some of the approaches and fairways to help ease the course difficulty. You may see some of the areas changed or painted. That is all in our efforts to create less difficulty around the greens and facilitate golfers getting to the green.
We also installed drainage and worked on our irrigation system in the field. Our hope is that these improvements will minimize cart restrictions even during the summer rainy season where it seems we cannot simply drain as fast as the rains we receive. In closing, we are proud of the positive feedback we continue to receive. Thank you, and please continue to enjoy the course!
