EPMS Field of Action: Cultural and Scientific Services PMI MENA Chapter seeks EPMS as an expert

counsel for assistance related to legal, financial and expert matters deemed appropriate by the Component Board of Directors.

As a part of the social responsibility of the PMI MENA Chapter, the chapter organized the first of its kind course in Egypt about the project management in the development sector.

The new certificate for Non-For-Profit projects (PDM Course)

The course provided the attendees with the required information, knowledge, tools and techniques to manage any project in the development sector. It developed based on the " PMD Pro Guide".

The course aims to prepare the attendees to pass the PMD Pro Level 1 certification exam. The course organized from August 27, 2012 till September 10, 2012. There were 14 attendees from different backgrounds and from different NGOs with active case studies for attendees. The chapter offer is course free of charge to promote the project management in the NGOs and in the development sector

Communications and training PMP preparation courses for more than (600) persons from September-2011 To Septemper-2012 with companies & organizations; Dar El-Handasa, AUC, EMC, PMI MENA Chapter El-Mohandseen branch, National Management Institute (NMI) in association with Ministry of State for Administration Development (MSAD).

Iftar Ramadan 2012Iftar Ramadan this year was special by being

hosted at the Engineering Association Club by MENA Chapter financial support and started with a delicious meal, Ramadan juices, Arabic coffee, ….. etc in attendance of Eng. Maged Kholosy (ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION President), Dr. Gamal Nassar (PMI MENA Chapter President), Eng. Suzanne Metwally (PMI MENA Chapter Vice President) & Eng. Sameh Bedair (PMI MENA Chapter Vice President for communication).

New WebsiteRenewing MENA Chapter website; (Web site testing group) to test the new Web Site, sessions, meetings, documents, …etc

Regarding the new website of the Chapter, there were 4 sessions to finalize the training phase of the admin part from the Website.

Currently we are finalizing the testing phase and to be followed by handing over (closing phase).

PMIEF material translation to Arabic Detailed presentations and

discussions about PMIEF and its social activities and its humanitarian role focusing on the training activities related to PM field for the NGOs management and members.

The chapter decided to start to translate (into Arabic) one of these materials which is “PM_skills_for_life ”
