Since Gabriela Rodriguez (NMLS #405399) has been active in the mort- gage industry, she’s made quite a splash on the scene. The Assistant Vice President and Senior Loan Of-ficer at El Paso’s First Community Mortgage has garnered numerous accolades and most recently ranked #48 on the Top 250 Latino Mortgage Professionals (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Profess-ionals.) Gabriela, a graduate of the Texas Realtors Leadership Program,

was #1 in the region and #2 statewide for the Texas Affordable Housing Corporation for both 2013 and 2014. During 2014, she closed 35 trans-actions, totaling $3.6 million through the TAHSC’s special programs to assist teachers, peace officers, fire-fighters, and others purchase homes.

borrowers or volunteering and par-ticipating in local events. Gabriela shares, “My customer service and understanding of each client is what has helped make me unique. When purchasing a home, you are not only dealing with people’s money but with their emotions and their dreams to become homeowners. Whether they’re ready to buy now or I am helping them to be ready in a couple of months or a year, whether they’re spending $60,000 or a million dollars,

each customer deserves equal atten-tion and a personal touch.”

To best serve her clients, Gabriela focuses on analyzing every part of the loan file in detail, from the beginning stages, which helps her provide dif-ferent loan options with payment affordability. “I understand that no file will ever be the same. Every borrower is different. It’s important to understand the customer’s needs to help them make the right decision when it comes to a home loan,” she shares. Being bilingual has also help- ed Gabriela in her region. She adds, “Many clients feel more comfortable speaking Spanish. I am able to explain the terminology so they can better understand.”

through the process if a loan officer does a good job from the beginning, staying up to date on every step of the loan transaction to ensure a smooth process for the borrower.”
