Energy Systems for the future

Galaxy EnErGy BIPV / Inroof SyStem

German Innovationa new design for roof construc-tion became reality.

Using the Galaxy rafter system together with the Galaxy water tight modules, a leak proof solar roof can now be constructed.

It replaces conventional wood or steel rafters, tar paper and shingles.

German quality! The precision assembly of all these components is the signa-ture of the Galaxy modules.

This very fact enables us to offera 10 year module productguarantee. The combination of the performance guarantee for 25 years ensures a secure invest-ment for the future.

Increased outputBecause of the positive perfor-mance classification the actualpower output is in access of thenominal rating.

The performance selection ofthe module rating is based ona 5 watt interval and is calcula-ted on a plus performancetolerance.

The purchase of a Galaxy mo-dule assures you that you will getthe performance you paid for.

1) For a small fee, the standard product warranty can be extended from 5 to 10 years.2) The performance guarantee of our photovoltaic modules equivalent to 90% at 10 years and 80% at 25 years.3) Our modules comply with the certificates CE, IEC 61215, ISO, CSA, UL and TÜV Safety Class II

a fast and secure installation.

Our mounting systems were developed with the installer in mind.

a clean and pleasing appearance of the roof is always one of our considerations.

your advantages:

an aesthetic installation without • protruding hardware

Simple and efficient installation •

The Galaxy Energy system is engineered to • absorb expansion and contraction factors. Such systems ensures a stress free installation that avoids cell cracks

we have what you are looking for!

tHe future IS today! wHy SHould we waIt for tomorrow?

Re-roofingThe Galaxy Energy inroof system can be effectively used toreplace old roofs.

The use of solar modules on roofs that have any asbestos compo-nents is in Germany prohibited by law.

Old roofs that have asbestos built in can now be dismantled and replaced with solar modules.

The existing wood rafters do not have to be removed. The inroof rafter will become the loadbearing component of the roof.

a special climate resistant seal not only guarantees a leak proof system but also prevents any built-up of stress in the modules due to expansion.

Insulating the roofThe newly developed rafters can be used to install insulating sheets.

T-grooves on the underside of the rafter are provided to insert fasteners.

The Galaxy inroof system can such be used to construct an insulated or non insulated roof.

winter advantageUsing the Galaxy Energy inroof system will also give you a winter advantage.

The complete installationwithout protruding hardware gives the roof a slide factor to reduce snow accumulation which results in a higher power output during the winter month.

aestheticsa more aesthetic look can beachieved by using the Edition black modules.

light domes and roof windows are replaced with the transpa-rent modules.

The rafters can be mounted in two ways: with a wedge insert lying on the purlin (reeroofing) or with a purlin, which already has an existing roof slope angle (new building).

In both types of mounting two rafter clamps are used per purlin. In addition, the rafters can be mounted on any type of steel pur-lins. To avoid contact corrosion, deposits of plastic / rubber bet-ween purlins and rafters is recommended.

Four pre assembled dual clamps per solar module consisting of the clamp, lockbar, srew and retrainer spring, allows a fast and easy mounting of the modules to the rafters.

a cover shield is snapped into the dual clamp to prevent accu-mulation of debris and allows an easier slide off ice and snow. The cover shield is anodised for our edition module in the color black.

The Galaxy Energy PPc module seal protects the system at eight points against the penetration of water.

The sponge rubber seal placed into the rafters and prevents the capillary action between rafters and module.

To finish the sides of the installation, a square tube is attached. an additional flashing can also be clamped under the tube.

Such system can beincoporated according

to your individual design wishes, architectualconcept, geometric

specifications andstructural requirements.

Please note:To make a statement on loads caused by the In-roof System, many factors are decisive. Independently from the total quantity of connecting parts (crafter clamps, dual clamps etc.), the module size and cross section of the rafter are important.

Therefore each component and it‘s acting force on the roof is listed with it‘s load in kg/m² or per piece.

Screws for fixing to wood or metal (for exp. spax) are not included in the in-roof weight.

all prices are subject to change

note:Due to continuous fluctuations in the price of PV modules, our cost comparison takes into consideration all necessary components exept PV modules. Here for example we compare the difference in price beet-ween a tile roofing plus a roof mounted PV substructure and our in-roof construction.
