FOR ADMISSION TO FIVE YEARS BBA, LL .B. (HONOURS) INTEGRATED SEMESTER COURSE.

The Instructions & Informations given below should be followed strictly.

ADMISSION

A) Admission to the above mentioned course is governed by the permission of Bar Council of India & Berhampur University.

B) A candidate whose conduct & character are not satisfactory shall not be considered for admission.

C) Selection will be made according to merit.

ELIGIBILTY FOR ADMISSION

A. A candidate who has passed +2 (Arts, Science or Commerce) or any other equivalent degree approved by the Higher Secondary Board, Odisha.

B. A candidate who fulfils the above requirement shall have obtained not less than 45% of aggregate marks in case of General category and 40% of aggregate marks in case of S.C & ST.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME:

The courses of study for the BBA. LL.B. (Hons.) Degree shall extend for a period of five academic years.

COURSE FEE:

1st year: Rs. 30,000/-2nd year: Rs. 26,000/-3rd year: Rs. 26,000/-4th year: Rs. 28,000/-5th year: Rs. 30,000/-

The college shall provide uniform and blazer.

T RAI N I N G & P L A C E M E N T:

All efforts are made by the institute to groom the students to broaden their mind and create positive attitude and thus equipping them with all qualities to make them assert themselves to achieve any profession.

ADMISSION

A) Admission to the above mentioned course is governed by the provision of Berhampur University Regulation & Bar Council of India.

B) A candidate whose conduct & character are not satisfactory shall not be considered for admission.

ELIGIBILTY FOR ADMISSION

A. Any candidate who has passed Bachelor degree/ Master Degree of Berhampur University in any discipline or a Bachelor/ Master Degree of any other University considered as equivalent there to by Berhampur University shall be eligible for admission to the three years LL.B. semester Course.

B. A candidate who fulfils the above requirement shall have obtained not less than 45% of aggregate marks in case of General category and 40% of aggregate marks in case of S.C & ST Category.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME:

The duration of the course shall be of three academic years consisting of six semesters (each year two semesters).

EXAMINATION PROCESS

The Semester Examinations will be conducted by Berhampur University. The first, third and fifth semester examination will be held in the month of November and second, fourth and sixth semester examinations in the month of April during 2013–14 session.

Students have to pay the following fees as per the direction of Bar Council of India & Berhampur University.

REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM:

Application forms for admission into BBA, LL.B. (Honors) five years semester course can be obtained on working days from the Ganjam Law College office counter by the candidate in person on payment of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only). The candidates who are applying for admission by downloading the application form shall have to deposit the amount of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) through crossed Bank Draft drawn in favour of Secretary, Ganjam Law College, Berhampur, payable at I. O. B., Gajapati branch, Berhampur, Odisha. Application forms can also be obtained by post on payment of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only) through crossed Bank Draft drawn in favour of Secretary, Ganjam Law College, Berhampur, payable at I. O. B., Gajapati branch, Berhampur, Odisha. Postal Orders shall not be accepted under any circumstances.

THE CANDIDATE SHOULD SUBMIT THE DOCUMENTS ALONGWITH APPLICATION FORM AS MENTIONED IN THE APPLICATION FORM & INTIMATION LETTER.

MEDIUM:

The medium of Instruction and examination shall be in English.

RESERVATION AND CONCESSIONS:

Seats are reserved for Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe4 and Physically Handicapped as per Berhampur University rules (S.C. – 15%, S. T. – 71/2 % and physically handicapped – 3%). For S.C. and S.T. category necessary certificate should be produced by the candidate from a revenue officer of his locality not below the rank of Tahsildar and for Physically handicapped the certificate should be produced from not below the rank of C.D.M.O. / Professor.

ACADEMIC AND OTHER FACILITIES PROVIDED BY THE INSTITUTION.

FACULTIES

The institute has qualified scholars, experienced and skilled faculties in different fields on which teaching is imparted. The institute also invites eminent professors and professionals from many reputed institutes and the judiciary to deliver lectures.

LIBRARY

The library at present is having more than 4000 selected books with adequate number of copies and journals like A. I. R., BAR COUNCIL REVIEW, C.L.T., AND OTHER RELEVANT JOURNALS.

TRANSPORT

The institute has made necessary arrangements of buses from New Bus Stand and Old bus Stand to the institute which will operate according to the scheduled time. Students have to pay Rs. 300/- per month for availing the transport facility.

HOSTEL

The college will provide hostel facility to the boys and girls @ Rs. 48,000/- per year. The candidate has to apply in a plain paper separately for hostel facility at the time of admission with a hostel admission fee of Rs. 4,000/- as a security amount.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The Extra – curricular activities include debates, quizzes and other literary and sports activities.

MOOT COURT & SEMINAR

The Moot Court competitions and Seminars are conducted in the college and students participate in State, National and International level Moot Court competitions and Seminars.

COMPUTER FACILITIES

The college provides computer facilities to all students along with internet facilities. The college is having adequate numbers of computers.
