Introduction Due to Globalization, industries around the world

have been increasing. All of this growth carries more production of organic and inorganic garbage.

A great amount of this garbage is left on the streets, or thrown into the seas, etc.

People all over the globe should know and understand the reasons and effects that garbage on streets brings.

CausesGarbage on streets increases due to:

• People dropping garbage on the streets.• Drivers discarding garbage out of their windows.• Household refuse disposal and collection.• Lack of values and education.• Intentional or habitual littering (laziness)• Sometimes, due to the lack of trash cans.

Effects / Consequences

• The ozone layer will become more damaged.• Climate changes will occur - Warm temperatures

will rise• Diseases • Air pollution• Natural disasters• Animals will die• Garbage damage our waterways.• Garbage negatively affect its the image of places,

especially tourist locations.• Garbage costs money.

The 3R• Reduce: use less disposable

products.• Reuse: many things can be used

more than once or by other people, share with others.

• Recycle: at home separate inorganic trash from the organic. Find out about recycling programs in your community.

Actions• We made recycling bags

• We made some boxes and placed them in Molina Plaza – Plaza Vea for recycling.

• We made posters to paste at school and Molina Plaza.

ConclusionsTo prevent having garbage on streets people should :

• be informed about this issue.• use more cans properly if provided.• People should take their garbage home after visiting

parks, gardens, etc.• People should always take a pick – up – bag when

walking their dogs.

NEWS As an ongoing action, we will be

selling the garbage mini bags to use in the cars at the “Bazar Navideño”. If you buy one bag, you will be helping a public school.
