Every year we constantly look for ways to make oura special

family outing. This year we added two weekend visitsfrom Santa, professional photo keepsakes and freshhomemade Christmas goodies. We sold hundreds ofchoice Fraser Fir trees and donated some to local charitiesfor underprivileged families.It was an amazing time. Makeit a point to join us next year.

The is a very big party to benefit TheChildren's Hospital of the King's Daughters. There are limitedtickets and it happens every year the Saturday before Thanksgivingat Greenbrier Farms in Chesapeake.This year, thanks to participation from major sponsors

Greenbrier Dodge and Basnight Land & Lawn, the festival guestsconsumed 15,000 shell oysters, 7,000 clams, 32,000 fried oysters

and 100's of plates of shrimp andgrits, catfish, corn, hush puppies andfresh old bay chips. The event raised$15,000 for our charities. We lookforward to seeing you there nextyear.

Just after midnight on December 25 , with big snow in the forecast, Basnight Land and Lawn's teams began the process of pre-treating ourcommercial and residential properties. With a lengthy roster of hospitals, shopping centers, office parks and communities, the careful balance ofmanpower, equipment and customer service was under way. Over the next five days our crews focused and satisfied every client with the qualityservice they have grown to expect from Basnight Land & Lawn.The accumulation at the Norfolk Airport would eventually total 13.4 inches. Basnight Land and Lawn’s equipment included eighteen plow trucks,

eight rubber tire loaders, fifteen skid steers, twelve tractors. Ten shoveling crews with more than fifty employees working 15-18 hour shifts tomake sure that the properties were safe. Although it is still Winter, now is the time tostart laying the foundation for a successfulturf growing season. Crabgrass Pre-Emergents, Broad Leaf Weed Control andFertilizer are being applied to turf all overHampton Roads. The most important part ofthis application is the Crabgrass Pre-Emergent. Crabgrass is an annual (only hasone life cycle) that if not properly controlledhas the potential to take over a lawn in onegrowing season. The thought of thathappening to our clients’ turf is unacceptable.We only a proven pre-emergent,Dimension, to ensure we keep this invasiveweed out of the turf.
