GARDENS OF SYMMETRY

For the final selection of Google earth images

we explore mostly old British Dominions

but with a couple of surprises.

We start this wander at Cleveland, Ohio, USofA and these 2 quite formal beds...

… before enjoying the colours in this bed from Melbourne, Australia...

… and the hues in this large rose bed from Wellington, New Zealand.

This pattern is near Julie, in Montgomery Park, Joburg, RSA and around 300 yards long...

… and this is near Claire (OK, 650 miles away) in Filoli, California, USofA.

To Sydney, Australia for this neat pattern (note the people for scale)...

… and Curitiba in Brazil for these crosses (no, not the tennis courts)...

… and a mixture of designs in Lal Bagh, Bangalore, Indiathat stretch across the image for about half a mile...

… with a very complex design from Palermo Gardens, Buenos Aires, Argentinawhere the 'object' is about quarter of a mile long; whatever it is?

Australians have a reputation for being different, as is the fascinating shield design at Geelong...

and this veined leaf just across the road.

Brisbane has this sunflower shaped bed that is 130 feet in diameter...

… and Woolongong this cracked egg nearly 200 feet across.

Canberra has this vivid potager that is over 240 by 140 yards in dimension...

… and Adelaide this wheeled shopping trolley some 110 yards square (note cars for scale).

The most visually stunning view from Auz is this desert/sand planting in Cranbourne which is 300 yards acrossand dedicated to The Loon who may or may not live close by, she hasn't said!

Finally, to Ontario, Canada, fairly close to Alan Truitt/aka Mike, is this bell shaped bedsome 200 yards across the mouth with an oval clapper 150 feet long

that is ringing out the end of this project.
