We look forward to being able to give your child the love, security,
encouragement, and a solid education that you would want for them.
Gary & Michelle
Hi! We are Gary and Michelle We can’t possibly imagine what you must be feeling at this moment, but we know that you only want what is best for your child. We hope through this journey you find exactly the couple you are looking for. It is our prayer that our story can somehow ease your mind and help with the decision you are considering. We would feel so blessed and grateful to have the opportunity to raise a child from birth together. We look forward to giving this child the love and security you would want for them, sharing our holiday tradi@ons and beginning new ones with them, being able to give them a solid educa@on, and encouraging them in all of their dreams. Thank you for taking the @me to look at a small snap shot of who we are as individuals and as a family and hope that you would consider us as adop@ve parents for your child.
We are so excited for
this journey!
Why We Choose AdoptionAlthough we dealt with some infer@lity issues, we as a couple have always wanted to adopt! We could have gone through “scien@fic” methods to have a biological child, but we never even looked into it. It just didn’t feel right for us. We truly feel God has placed adop@on in our hearts from the very beginning of our rela@onship. We are not a tradi@onal family, in that Michelle was a single mom when we met. John Michael, who is now in college, is excited to be a big brother and suppor@ve of our hope to adopt.
Adoption PlanWe hope to meet all of your needs in order to make you as comfortable as possible. We look forward to talking with you and are open to mee@ng with you if this is your desire. Please know you will be respected and honored by us. We feel very strongly about sharing with your child their adop@on story from the very beginning. We are happy to keep in contact with you through sharing pictures and emails.
Us with our Goddaughter

My wife Michelle, written by Gary
Michelle is the most loving, nurturing and determined mom I know. She is always op@mis@c and sees the best in every situa@on no maKer the circumstances. Michelle has taught me a lot and has helped me to become a beKer man. She has raised a great young man in John, who is genuine, loving, charming, intelligent, and excels in school. I look forward to watching her become a mother again because since I have known Michelle, she has dedicated every moment of her life to ensure in John’s happiness, security and safety. Days spent at the park, town events, summers at the beach, sledding in the winter, playing catch outside, drawing with sidewalk chalk, reading bed@me stories…these are all things Michelle did with John and looks forward to doing again with a son or daughter. It thrills me to think of her being able to give this kind of special love and aKen@on to another child. Michelle truly loves being at home and doing for her family. Whether it is the dreaded piles of laundry or cooking a great meal for us, she does it with love.

Michelle’s CareerCurrently I work as a Clinical Researcher and have the flexibility to work from home. Gary and I are discussing the op@on of me being a stay at home mom, which I would love! On the days where I do need to go into the office, our son or daughter would be with their Grandma, who is super excited to go to the park and take them to the fes@vals! We have also researched day cares in our neighborhood just in case we need to u@lize one for a day or two per week and on the recommenda@ons of friends we have found one place that is outstanding!
Michelle’s Top 5 Hobbies1. Dancing – you will find me on the dance floor at any event! I love geVng lost in the music!
2. Walking – having the opportunity to talk with God and take in the beauty around me3. Not sure this is a hobby, but I’m a closet Housewife watcher, with the Georgia Housewives being my favorite. I love NeNe because she is who she is. 4. Baking Chocolate Chip Cookies – not just because they are the only things I can bake… they are good! It took me a long @me to perfect my recipe and the funny thing is I s@ll change it up!5. Cooking with Wreck Less Abandonment – I’m not afraid to mix things together or try new foods. We’ve only had 2 meals where we ended up throwing the food out and ordering in!

Meet Gary, written by MichelleGod couldn’t have picked a beKer person for me to spend the rest of my life with! Gary is the kind of man that fully supports me in everything I do. That’s not to say that if I am wrong or I make a mistake he wont tell me, but he does it with kindness and love. He is a protec@ve kind of guy who always makes sure we are all ok! His laugh is contagious and he knows just what to say to make us both laugh. To say that Gary loves me is an understatement. Gary is an amazing step father to our son, John. It was an instant connec@on between them! From the moment my son opened the door at age 9, dressed in his liKle sweater vest, jacket and pants that didn’t match…
oh and the mustache he drew on his face with my eyeliner, they were hooked! I would love nothing more than to see Gary be able to experience fatherhood from the very beginning of life! To get into those dirty diapers, midnight feedings, see rice cereal spit across the room, and to hear that first word…there is nothing like it.

Gary is Building for our Family’s FutureI am fortunate to own a building and developing company, building custom homes. I love what I do and I take pride in my work. I work hard and am commiKed to providing well for my family. Owning my company means I get to set my schedule and take @me off when I need to. I am home each night for dinner and feel family meals and @me spent together are important. I look forward to bed@me rou@nes; reading a child’s favorite book, saying prayers and then snuggling in and watching them fall asleep. When we are blessed with a baby, I will take 2-‐3 weeks off to be at home with the baby and Michelle.
Gary’s Top 5 Hobbies 1.Gaming with John – we make some food, grab our controllers and baKle it out on X-‐Box or computer2. Golfing -‐ I have a mean swing and some would say I swing as good as Tiger Woods.3.Working the Construc@on Equipment -‐ I love to build and am happy to jump on an excavator or backhoe any chance I get 4. Food – I love to eat! We consider ourselves “foodies” because we love to try new things both out at a restaurant or at home!5. Movies -‐ I consider myself sort of a movie buff! Some of my favorites are The Chronicles of Riddick, Underworld, The Lord of the Rings, and The Blind Side. I have to admit, Michelle even got me interested in the Twilight series… but that’s my secret!
Gary working on developing some land
We love visiting Michelle’s family farm
We absolutely love our 4-‐bedroom home and the large acre of land that we live on. Our community offers families so much to do and has a strong athle@cs program. Our neighborhood has so many children and is full of life. We are friends with neighbors and we all take care of each other. When we first saw our home, it was definitely a diamond in the rough. But Gary being a builder and Michelle just having an imagina@on, saw the poten@al! We chose this property because it is close to family and friends, and is located in a blue ribbon school district. Michelle’s favorite part of the house is of course the kitchen. She loves to cook and bake everyone’s favorite chocolate chip cookies! Gary’s favorite part of the house is the large living room overlooking the back yard with its apple trees. With John off to college it is a lot of house for just 2 people! We are so ready to hear the sounds of a liKle one in our home again. Playing in the leaves with our neighbors
HOME
Our Favorite Holidays #1 Thanksgiving – because it always comes down to family and food! We as a family have so much to be thankful for and love being able to have a day like Thanksgiving to just sit and share each other’s company. The all day smell of that turkey, sausage stuffing, pumpkin pie and sweet potato mash cannot be beat!
#2 Christmas – from choosing the right tree, to watching Gary so strategically put lights up, to drinking hot chocolate, to decora@ng the tree as a family, to celebra@ng with family, the Christmas season for us is all about our family. It’s never been about the giis. Yes, the kids all love the presents, but we have all learned there is much more to this season then what’s under the tree.
Ginger
Our pups, Ginger and Nella, are the most gentle and loving animals we have ever met! They are wonderful with kids and will be a
great playmate for your child to grow up with!

John Michael, written by MichelleJohn is a charming, intelligent and talented young man, whom we are proud to say, is currently aKending a 4-‐year university. To see him striving for his dreams and actually making them happen is something else. John is such a caring and protec@ve kind of kid (something I know he gets from Gary). When Gary and I approached John about adop@on, at first John didn’t know what to think. In his mind, everyone can have kids, you had me…so he asked the obvious ques@on…why? We carefully shared our journey with John that brought us to the decision of expanding our family through adop@on. From there he fell in love with the idea! John shared that he had always wanted a brother or sister. We asked him if he felt weird about it since he was 18 and he said, “no… you are both young and should be able to experience raising a baby together. I think you guys are totally cool for choosing adop@on”. Now when he calls home from school or comes home for breaks, he is always asking, “any news yet”? He looks forward to sharing his love for reading and wri@ng with a younger brother or sister and coming home during his breaks to spend @me with all of us.

Our Faith We are Chris@ans and will raise this child in the Chris@an faith, giving them a solid founda@on that will stay with them throughout their lives. Our favorite @me of the day is in the morning when we, together over coffee, sit and read scripture together to prepare us for the day. We will include a child in this morning rou@ne. We are both involved in our church and have received many blessings by serving. Michelle teaches Children’s Church and loves seeing the children’s eyes light up when they understand how truly loved they are by God. That no maKer where they are or what they go through, they are never alone! Gary uses the skills he has been given to help take care of the buildings and grounds at our church. We have also worked with Vaca@on Bible School every year and have such a blast with the kids!
