Types of Gaskets Flange gaskets are used to create a static seal between two flanges faces at various operating conditions, with varied pressure and temperature ratings. Mostly material used in the gaskets is compressed asbestos fibre. Types of Gaskets Non-metallic types:- Non-metallic gaskets are used in the low pressure class. The material of the gasket are mostly arimid fiber, glass fibre, elastomer, Teflon, graphite etc. For all sizes, materials, dimensions, dimensional tolerances, and markings for non-metallic flat gaskets from ASME B16.21 standard. Semi-metallic types: - Semi-metallic gaskets are designed for almost all operating conditions and high-temperature and pressure applications. for all sizes, materials, dimensions, dimensional tolerances, and markings for non-metallic flat gaskets from ASME B16.20 Metallic types: Metallic gaskets are used in mostly high pressure and temperature rating in the particular system. The ring type joint was initially developed for use in the petroleum industry, where high pressure/temperature applications necessitated the need for a high integrity seal. They are mainly used in the oil field on drilling and completion equipment. Ring type joints are also commonly used on Valves and pipe work assemblies, along with some high integrity pressure vessel joints Based on the type of construction, gaskets are classified Full face Spiral wound metallic Ring type Metal jacketed Inside bolt circle

Types of GasketsFlange gaskets are used to create a static seal between two flanges faces at various operating conditions, with varied pressure and temperature ratings. Mostly material used in the gaskets is compressed asbestos fibre.

Types of Gaskets

Non-metallic types:-  Non-metallic  gaskets are used in the low pressure class. The material of the gasket are mostly arimid fiber, glass fibre, elastomer, Teflon, graphite etc.  For all sizes, materials, dimensions, dimensional tolerances, and markings for non-metallic flat gaskets from ASME B16.21 standard.

Semi-metallic types: - Semi-metallic gaskets are designed for almost all operating conditions and high-temperature and pressure applications. for all sizes, materials, dimensions, dimensional tolerances, and markings for non-metallic flat gaskets from ASME B16.20

Metallic types: Metallic gaskets are used in mostly high pressure and temperature rating in the particular system. The ring type joint was initially developed for use in the petroleum industry, where high pressure/temperature applications necessitated the need for a high integrity seal. They are mainly used in the oil field on drilling and completion equipment. Ring type joints are also commonly used on Valves and pipe work assemblies, along with some high integrity pressure vessel joints

Based on the type of construction, gaskets are classified Full face Spiral wound metallic Ring type Metal jacketed
