where, S is the GATE Score of the candidate, M is the marks obtained by the candidate in the paper, mentioned on this

scorecard, in GATE 2013, Mq is the qualifying mark for general category candidates in the paper, M, is the mean of marks of top 0.1% or top 10 (whichever is larger) of the

candidates who appeared in the paper, St = 900 is the Score assigned to M t, and Sq = 350 is the Score assigned to Mq.

Mq is usually 25 marks (out of 100) or fi + cr, whichever is larger. Here n is the mean is the standard deviation of marks of all the candidates who appeared in the paper.

GATE 2013 Scorecard

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2013 was organised by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on behalf of the National Co-ordination Board (NCB)-GATE for the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

The GATE 2013 Scores shown on the reverse side have been computed by two different formulae, each having a validity period of one year. The Score computed with the old for-mula, valid till 14 March 2014, should be used to compare with the Scores obtained in GATE 2012, and the Score computed with the new formula, valid till 14 March 2015 must be used to compare with Scores of GATE 2014.

Qualifying in GATE 2013 does not guarantee either an admission to a post-graduate pro-gram or a scholarship/assistantship. Admitting institutes may conduct further tests and inter-views for final selection.
