Result: Journal about cartoons causing epileptic fits in children (Watts 1998)

2. Searching for documents involving poor working conditions of Japanese animators.Result: Newspaper article about young animators refusing to work due to poor pay and working conditions (Nakamoto 2005)

3. Searching specifically for books on production of Japanese animation.Result: Book on animation art of anime and other digital media (Beck and Ball

2004)

- Unable to locate books in the library referring specifically to the psychology of Japanese animation (like the psychology behind the voicing)

- Unable to locate the exact articles found from Google Scholar research- Using SHU Library search suggests developments in Japanese animation are primarily

covered in articles as opposed to books

Industry websites- Attempting to find more information about the importance of voice acting; after little

success with researching books on the topic- Discovered a site based around the importance of voice acting- Website explains how the choice of actor is vital for the part (Voice Acting, no date)

- Less well covered areas of researched in books are often replaced by sources on the internet (websites, articles etc.)
