TUGAS KHUSUS HEAT EXCHANGER EQUIPMENT
Heat exchanger (shell & tube, coil, plate, U tube bundle, double pipe, flot
type exchangers) is used to control a systems or substances temperature by adding
or removing thermal energy.
Although heat exchangers are in many different sies, levels of
sophistication, and types! all the heat exchangers use a thermally conducting element
usually in the form of a tube or plate to separate t"o fluids, such that one can transfer
thermal energy to the other.
#nside a heat exchanger (shell & tube, U tube bundle, plate, coil, doubletube, stac$ed type heat exchangers), the fluid flo" is either turbulent or laminar.
%urbulent flo" produces better heat transfer, because it mixes the fluid. aminar'flo"
heat transfer relies entirely on the thermal conductivity of the fluid to transfer heat
from inside a stream to a heatexchanger "all.
TYPES OF HEAT EXCHANGERS ( Applicatio !i"# $ %
) evaporator (pharmaceutical (pharma), chemical, pesticide plants)
) condenser (*a+H, chemical, po"er, pesticides, insecticede plant)
) crystallier (crystalliser) for sugar plant (-- heat exchanger)
) trim condenser for refineries ( cupro nic$el, titanium )
/) contact cooler (*a+H, chemical, po"er, insecticede plant)
0) naptha cooler for refinery or refinaries (titanium 1rade or 1r )
2) chlorine cooler, recuperator for chlor al$ali plant (nic$el exchanger)
3) naptha pre heater for refinary or refineries (-- heat exchangers)
4) reboiler (reboilers) for bromine plant (tantalum heat exchanger)
5) chlorine chiller (chillers) for *a+H plant (titanium heat exchanger)
) nic$el (*i) preheater for caustic soda or chlor al$ali plant
) heat exchanger for 6%A plant (-- 45, Hast 7 20 exchanger)
) acetic acid, sulphuric acid plant exchanger ( irconium exchanger)
