GC Plus Summer School is offered by Graduate Center Plus (GC
Plus). GC Plus supports the faculties of the University of
Duisburg-Essen in optimally promo-ting early career researchers at
all career levels. We provide counselling, support and information
for advanced Master students, doctoral researchers, postdocs and
supervisors.

ABOUT GC PLUS SUMMER SCHOOL
GC Plus Summer School is a qualification pro-gramme addressing
doctoral researchers at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
Successful academic careers require not only out-standing
research results and a deep level of ex-pertise in the respective
academic fields, but also a set of transferable skills.
Our Summer School supports early career resear-chers with
training of these key competencies. It aims at strengthening your
self-confidence and coping skills, thus enabling you to better
com-municate your achievements within the academic community and to
strategically develop your own career paths.
All ten workshops will be held in English, aiming at cultivating
and raising awareness for intercul-tural and interdisciplinary
issues.

GC Plus Summer School offers two parallel workshops each day
from 9.30 to 17.00h. The workshops can be freely selected and
combined. You can register for as many days as you like. Please
keep in mind that the number of participants is limited in order to
allow everybody ample time for active participation.
