PRESIDENT’S COLUMN

It’s always great to look at our calen-dar and see all the leagues starting up. It means that spring has finally arrived! Our Campground has opened, Ar-chery League on Wednesdays is up and running as well as Steels and Cowboy Action. We also have the NRA & NDR Pistol Leagues and my personal favorite; the 5-Stand Sporting Clays! April is also clean-up month around the club. Our clean-up weekend is the 16th and 17th of April and Campground Clean-up is the 22nd and 23rd of April. It is important that we keep our club looking as good as we possibly can, so make plans to come out and lend a hand. Check with our Caretaker Ken Mitch to see if he has any special projects or if maybe you have tools to lend to the weekend of work. Many hands make light work, so come out and get involved. It’s a great way for new members to get their hours in and out of the way. A couple of housekeeping issues; we have Fish Fry Tickets for sale! Don’t miss out on this great event. It’s a great tradition and a great dinner. The clubhouse will soon be getting a bit of a facelift when the restrooms re-ceive a much needed remodel. We still need a cook for our kitchen, so if you know anyone that you think would be interested, let the kitchen com-mittee of Gary Smith, Tim Ankeney or Ed Rauch know!

FROM THE LAKES

Trout was stocked in the small pond the first week in March. So come out and catch a few. Our tournaments start up in May. The first tournament is our first Kid’s Tourna-ment of the season on Saturday, May 7th from 8 - 11 AM. We have an All-night Catfish Tourna-ment on Saturday May 28th at 6 PM until 6 AM Sunday Morning.

WOMEN’S AUXILIARY

Our next meeting will be on 4/6/16 at 6:30 PM at the Submarine House on Day-ton-Xenia Rd in Beavercreek. There will be no Euchre in April as it is Clean-up Weekend Euchre will resume in May and it will continue to be held the third Saturday of each month at the clubhouse, all are wel-come, so invite your family and friends. Cost is $6 and includes the entrée, cash and door prizes. Bring a dish to share and your own beverages.

Tickets for the 2016 Fish Fry on Tues-day, May 10th are available now and they are going fast. So get yours now! Admission is $10 per person and tick-ets are available now from all the usual club sources; Greg Beasley and Ed Rauch. Doors will open at 5 PM, serving will begin at 6 PM
