Partnering for the Future
Geminus Corporation began as an
innovative, cost-effective administrative
services organization (ASO) which serves
community mental health centers and
provides support to human services
programs. Since 1992, Geminus has
contracted to manage a growing
continuum of human services programs.
Geminus was founded by two Indiana
community mental health centers: Tri-City
Comprehensive Community Health Center,
East Chicago, Indiana & Southlake Center
for Mental Health, Merrillville, Indiana.
Southlake Center for Mental Health and Tri
City Community Mental Health merged on
July 1, 2009 to form Regional Mental Health
Center
Robert D. Krumwied is the President/CEO of
Regional Mental Health Center.

Geminus Corporation
The administrative support services
provided by Geminus include but are not
limited to:
Information Management Services,
Human Resources,
Financial Services,
Accounting, Purchasing, Payroll,

Provides administrative management
services to REGIONAL MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, located in Merrillville and East
Chicago, Indiana
Supplies administrative services to the
organization and the employees of REGIONAL MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, GEMINUS CORPORATION and all GEMINUS human services/social programs: Head Start, Family Services and P rev e nt i on Services.
Is administrator for an 15 million dollar
federal Head Start/Early Head Start grant
serving both Lake and Porter Counties at various locations
Is administrator for the North Township
Communities that Care which engages and motivates community members in creating a plan that best addresses the risk and protective factors that are underlying causes of the youth problem behaviors found within that community.
Is administrator of the statewide program,
“Leading and Educating Across Domains” (L.E.A.D.) Initiative, which is a model for youth leadership and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) development that incorporates the assessment, enhancement, expansion and
evaluation of current youth leadership programming and the implementation of youth leaders into ATOD programming.
What is Geminus Corporation?
Is administrator of federal funds
through the STOP ACT Grant for Alcohol Awareness and Prevention in partnership with local universities.
Is administrator of the Local
Coordinating Council for Lake County which provides funding to local agencies for activities in the areas of treatment, prevention and law enforcement.
Provides child-centered and family
focused system with services through
our Circle Around Families, Child Mental Health Initiative targeting Lake County, Indiana.
Provides central intake services for the
Northwest Indiana Child Care
Development Fund Program
Assists families in Lake County through
our Community Partners program to stay together whether the obstacles are job loss, behavioral problems, domestic
violence, alcohol or drug addiction or
other family issues. Helping solve problems before they become unmanageable is our goal.
Provides prevention and treatment
programs for non-custodial fathers in the child welfare and juvenile justice
system through our Real Fathers Initiative via increased involvement by fathers and their families in the lives of their children.
Manages the Community Behavioral
Health Network and is certified by CARF
