    Indias Achievement Towards Sustainable Development The no. of CERs issued for emission reduction projects

    in India is set to tripled to 246 mn by dec. 2012 from 72mn in Nov. 2009. (CRISIL Research).

    Indias renewable energy capacity to increase to 20,000

    MW by 2012 dec. from the current 15,542 MW. Growth in use of green technologies has put India on

    the green building leader board with countries likeUSA. (as per IGBC)

    About US$ 425.58 mn of the current Indian lightingmarket size belongs to the compact fluorescentlamps(CFLs), the energy efficient lighiting system.
