A multicultural congregation, Fort Street (www.fortstreet.org) has a 165 year-old history and a large, long-standing outreach to the homeless in Detroit. Generally considered a progressive faith community, FSPC is diverse in theology, ethnicity, race, national origin, education, politics, and location and circumstances of where worshippers live. Worship style is traditional, with a variety of elements reflecting diversity. The pastor is Sharon L. Mook.
