Dear Representative,
Please accept this letter as part of my application for a mining engineering co-op student internship. This
would serve as an excellent opportunity for me to combine my Engineering and Science background,
while contributing to your company. I am available to work a 4, 8, 12 or 16 month Co-op work term
beginning in May 2015.
Through my education and work experience, I have developed many of the qualifications that you
potentially seek for in a successful candidate; specifically these include:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills from working in the food-service industry for
many years and being a full-time student for the previous three years,
Experienced with working on a rotational schedule and with quality assurance/quality control
checks and associated procedures from my experience working with Toyota Boshoku Canada
Inc.,
Leadership and project management skills from many years of working as a front-of-house
manager in the food-service industry,
Experience with working in compliance with all company health and safety rules and regulations
and reporting all health and safety infractions/hazards to the company’s Health and Safety
department from my experience working with Toyota Boshoku Canada Inc.
I am self-motivated, energetic and proactive and am certain that I would be an asset to the company’s
team. I welcome the opportunity of relocating for work purposes and I possess a clean, valid Nova Scotia
class 5 driver’s license. Enclosed is a copy of my resume for your consideration. I look forward to the
opportunity to further discuss my qualifications in an interview and am available at any time to meet
with you. I can be reached at 902-565-9286 or [email protected]. Thank you for your
time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Michael E. Forsyth
