ABSENCES (TEACHER): In the case of an absence, please log on to Subfinder at https://mccsc.subfinderonline.com/. If you know in advance that you will be absent, notify the appropriate school secretary immediately so that a substitute teacher may be contacted. The day of an absence, if Subfinder is down or there is an extenuating circumstance, please email the appropriate secretary or leave a message as soon as possible.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS & SUBSTITUTE FOLDERS:Every attempt will be made to secure qualified substitute teachers.

Teachers may request specific substitutes if they wish; however, there is no guarantee that a request can be filled.

Substitute Teacher Folder:Each teacher should provide an emergency folder to the office no

later than the end of the first full week of school. This folder should include each of the items listed above, plus extra “generic” plans that can be used in an emergency. Please keep this folder current.

ASSESSMENT CALENDAR: The assessment calendar is distributed by central administrators at the beginning of each school year, and updated via email throughout the year as needed.

ATTENDANCE (STUDENT): Teachers should take attendance each period of teaching at the secondary level, and by 9:00am at the elementary level. Attendance must be entered during the period that attendance is taken, i.e., if attendance is taken period 2 it must be entered in the computer period 2. Each teacher must enter attendance through Skyward. If there is a computer difficulty, call the office immediately so other arrangements can be made.

If a student arrives without an excused pass after the start of class, the teacher should indicate tardiness by marking a T beside the student’s name through attendance. If a student is tardy period 1, send the student to the office to check in.

3

Page 4: GENERAL INFORMATION€¦  · Web viewFINAL DRAFT SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION. ... The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students

CLASS SIZE: Class size (student to teacher ratios) is determined on a yearly basis. Teachers with class size concerns can appeal to have a class size aide each semester during a designated window of time.

COMMITTEES: See Section 2, “Committee Assignments” for your building’s specific committee listings.

CONFIDENTIALITY: Please remember that all information we have about a student is confidential and therefore should not be discussed with anyone other than the student’s teachers and principal. Anything a parent discusses with you should be considered confidential. Gain permission from a parent to discuss a personal problem the student has with the student’s other teachers.

Information about a student’s home life or personal problems should not be discussed with teaching assistants or volunteers.

Never identify a student to another parent without parent permission. Do not allow yourself to be pulled into a conversation about how a student relates to another student in the school if you are discussing another student’s behavior, etc.

There should be no discussions of specific students outside of private conversations with those directly involved. Please remember we have substitutes, I.U. students, and volunteers in the building, many of whom may eat in the lounge. Please do not talk about anything in or outside of school that could affect the efficient operation of the school.

Please refrain from using student names in email. If you must refer to a specific student, which is discouraged, use initials. All email is public information and could be requested for review at any time.

CONVOCATIONS & PEP RALLIES: Teachers will accompany and supervise their students to all convocation programs and pep rallies. Teachers should consider student assemblies as large class situations. Teachers should counsel students about what is expected in the way of conduct before attending large group assemblies. Teachers should sit with their classes whenever a program is held. Seating charts are developed at the building level.

CUMULATIVE RECORDS: Cumulative record folders are maintained on each student. The records for students are located in the office and are made available to professional staff members for the purpose of serving the needs of individual students or teachers.

Please get administrative approval to remove cumulative files from the office and never take them out of the building. Secretaries or administrators will give teachers access to the cumulative records. These are legal documents.

DEPOSIT OF MONEY: Any money collected from students is to be turned into the secretaries as soon as possible on the day collected. Teachers should never keep money in their rooms overnight. The risk of loss or theft is too great. Monies will be kept in the safe or be included in the daily bank deposit.

DIRECTORY: See Section 2 for your building’s directory of phone extensions, room numbers and email addresses.

DRILLS (Fire, Tornado, Earthquake, code Evacuate, Caution or Lockdown):

FIRE DRILLS: Fire drills are held throughout the school year at least once per month. The fire signal will be the buzzer-bell type.

The teacher in each room shall be in charge. Organize your room so as to move with speed and little confusion. Teachers should be sure that lights are out, and all windows and doors are closed as you leave the room. The teacher will move out with her/his group. Each classroom teacher should take an up-to-date Emergency Class Roster and Special Area teachers should have a class list.

TORNADO DRILLS: Teachers will take time in each of their classes to review Tornado Information and Tornado Safety rules several times a year. A. Upon receiving an alert, according to MCCSC Emergency Action Plan, the school

will take all necessary precautions to insure safety of students.B. The office will then turn on our local radio station and TV weather channel for the

latest news. The bell system will be shut off. There will be no class changes unless notified by P.A. or word of mouth.

C. The secretary will notify the principal of the possibility of danger. The head custodian will be our lookout and spread the word in case of power failure.

D. In case of tornado warning, we will announce over the P.A. or repeated bell tones will begin.

E. Stay clear of windows and away from South and West exposure.F. Sit down facing the wall with knees drawn up to the chest, and cover hands over

back of neck.G. There will be NO TALKING. Move quickly to the assigned area.H. Use of the telephone by staff or students will be prohibited during this emergency

procedure.I. Outdoor activity will not be continued if there is a possibility of lightning. Seek safe

shelter.J. Teachers are to take their grade book or class roster and take attendance.K. Students should remain in the assigned area and in the safe position until the all-

clear signal is give.

EARTHQUAKE: Whether you are in your home, a school classroom, a high-rise or another type of building it is important to know how to protect yourself during an earthquake. Practice what to do during an earthquake and teach yourself and your family members to react automatically when the shaking starts. If you are outdoors when the shaking starts, get into an open area away from trees, buildings, walls and power lines. If you are indoors, follow the steps below:

DUCK Drop down to the floor.

COVER Take COVER under a sturdy desk, table or other furniture. If that is not possible, seek COVER against an interior wall and protect your head and neck with your arms. Avoid danger spots near windows, hanging objects, mirrors or tall furniture.

Page 6: GENERAL INFORMATION€¦  · Web viewFINAL DRAFT SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION. ... The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students

HOLD If you take cover under a sturdy piece of furniture, HOLD onto it and be prepared to move with it. HOLD the position until the ground stops shaking and it is safe to move.

EVACUATE, CAUTION & LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES: Building specific information is in each school’s “School Safety and Emergency Preparedness Plan.” All staff must familiarize themselves with this plan. Generally, this is what each code means:

Evacuate: Go through Fire Drill ProceduresCaution: Doors should remain in the locked position, closed. Continue with class as usual. Do not change classes or allow students out of the classroom.Lockdown: Lock doors, move students to a place where they cannot be seen, close window coverings, remain silent.

DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE: (excerpt from Board policy 3122.01) The School Board prohibits and shall not permit the manufacture, possession, use, distribution, or dispensing of any controlled substance or alcoholic beverage by any member of the Corporation’s professional staff at any time while on Corporation property or while involved in any Corporation-related activity or event.

DVDs, MOVIES & AUDIOVISUALS (USE OF): Although some students may have parental permission to view any film regardless of the rating, as a school we must be sensitive to the possibility of offending students or parents by showing a commercially produced (for profit) movie, DVD, or video that has a rating other than a G or general. Thus, teachers need to alert parents of the use of any movie or video with a rating higher than G in plenty of time for parents to respond. This includes PG & PG13 movies. R rated movies are never acceptable.See Section 2, “DVDs, Movies and Audiovisuals” for further information about your building’s film policy and check out procedures.

FACULTY MEETINGS: Professional staff (faculty) meetings and specific school/curriculum related student/parent meetings in the evening are part of the general duties of all teachers. The faculty meetings will provide a forum to share information, planning, organization, and professional development. Coaching a sport is not a sufficient excuse to miss a meeting. Personal after school appointments should be made on other available days. Illness or other extenuating circumstances that arise unexpectedly must be shared with the principal before the meeting.

Part-time teachers attend meetings at their home school. Principals will co-ordinate with teachers going to multiple schools.

Please refer to the teacher contract for specific requirements on after school or evening expectations.

See Section 2, “Faculty Meetings/Evening Duties” for your building’s calendar of faculty meetings and evening events.

FIELD TRIPS: See Board Policy #2340 on Board Docs Online.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN NONINSTRUCTIONAL SETTINGS: (excerpt from Board policy 3310): The following guidelines are adopted by the School Board to help clarify and, therefore, avoid

6

Page 7: GENERAL INFORMATION€¦  · Web viewFINAL DRAFT SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION. ... The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students

situations in which the professional staff member's expression could conflict with the Corporation's interests. In situations in which the professional staff member is not engaged in the performance of professional duties s/he should:

A. state clearly that his/her expression represents personal views and not necessarily those of the School Corporation;

B. not discuss with others any individual with whom s/he would normally be in daily contact in the performance of duties, in order to avoid the disruption of cooperative staff relationships;

C. refrain from expressions that would disrupt harmony among co-workers or interfere with the maintenance of discipline by school officials;

D. not make abusive or personally defamatory comments about co-workers, administrators, or officials of the Corporation;

E. refrain from making public expressions which s/he knows to be false or are made without regard for truth or accuracy;

F. not make threats against co-workers, supervisors, or Corporation officials.

FUND RAISING: All fundraising must be approved by the building principal, and general fundraising efforts should be limited each year. See “Deposit of Money.”

GIFTS: (excerpt from Board policy 3214): The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students and their parents because it could embarrass students with limited means and gives the appearance of currying favor.

GRADING PERIODS: See Section 2, “Building Calendar” for building’s grading periods.

GRADING SCALE for SECONDARY SCHOOLS:A+ 99-100A 93-98A- 90-92 90-100 AB+ 87-89B 83-86B- 80-82 80-89 BC+ 77-79C 73-76C- 70-72 70-79 CD+ 67-69D 63-66D- 60-62 60-69 DF 59 & Below

GRADING SCALE FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS: See Scaled Scores for all Essential Learnings. (Available in the L Drive). For subjects which still maintain letter grades, use the standard Grading Scale for Secondary Schools (above).

INJURIES OR ACCIDENTS TO STAFF MEMBERS: All employees are covered by Workmen’s Compensation insurance providing for accidents and injury when on the job.

7

Page 8: GENERAL INFORMATION€¦  · Web viewFINAL DRAFT SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION. ... The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students

An incident report must be filled out, turned in to the building principal, and filed with the the MCCSC Business Office as soon as possible.

Any employee requiring medical attention because of a job-related injury must take a copy of the incident report to IU Health Urgent Care, who has been designated as an examining physician clinic for our insurance carrier. If further treatment, or a specialist, is required IU Health Urgent Care will make the arrangements. Please always submit a copy of any paperwork IU Health Urgent Care gives you.

If an employee requires the services of the hospital in any way, he/she must inform the hospital and treating physician that IU Health Urgent Care is the clinic of record and should be notified.

Before payment can be made for job-related injuries, it is necessary that you contact IU Health Urgent Care.

INJURIES OR ACCIDENTS OF STUDENTS: We are required by law to file an Incident Report for all student injuries on school property during the school day. The teacher in charge is to report accidents and injuries immediately with the health office and/or the Principal and file the required report during the day. Of course, parents must be notified.

MENTOR PROGRAM FOR PROFESSIONAL STAFF: (excerpt from Board policy 3125): The School Board intends to provide all first year professional staff members a year-long program of orientation, assistance and support during their first year of employment in the Corporation.

MONEY COLLECTED FROM STUDENTS: See Deposit of Money

OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES OF STAFF: (excerpt from Board policy 3231): …B. Staff members shall not use school property or school time to solicit or accept customers for private enterprises without written administrative permission. C. Staff members shall not campaign on school property during duty hours on behalf of any political issue or candidate for local, State or National office except on election day at election polls on school property and not on duty hours. D. Staff members may not accept fees for tutoring when such tutoring is conducted during the normal work day. E. Staff members may not accept fees for remedial tutoring of students currently enrolled in one (1) or more of their classes.

PARENT CONTACT & CONFERENCES: Teachers need to keep the lines of communication open with parents. One of our best chances to affirm our credibility as a strong public institution is to meet parents face to face to answer their questions or contact them frequently by telephone or email. Teachers need to keep a log of all and telephone calls and emails to parents, guardians, etc., for students.

Please return telephone calls and emails to parents within 24 hours. Another word of advice is to add a notation next to the date and time noted for the call or save the email. This will help recalling specific points about the contact if you need to refer to it at a later date.

All email is archived by the school corporation. Phone calls dialed and received are also archived in schools with the VOIP system installed.

When parents request conferences with teachers, every effort will be made to set up the conference to fit into the teachers’ schedules. Many times this may be a before or after school conference. Such conferences take precedence over extra-curricular responsibilities. Except for emergencies, teachers will not be called out of classes to talk with parents. If a parent appears at your classroom door, politely explain that you cannot speak with them when you have teaching responsibilities and say you will contact them later to schedule a meeting or phone call.

Regarding Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences: Please wait for instructions from your building principals regarding contracted conference time each year.

PROFESSIONAL COURTESY: No school personnel should make a habit of retaining students after a class causing them to be tardy for their next class period. If a conference with a student is necessary, schedule it around the classes of other teachers or write the student/students a pass. Please notify the office of any problems that affect large numbers of students.

Anytime a teacher takes a student/students out of a class of another teacher for an extended period of time, the teacher needs to be notified in a timely manner.

PROFESSIONAL LEAVE: Your building principal must approve all professional leave requests. The forms are obtained from the main office secretary. Because professional leave depends on availability of substitute teachers, availability of funds, and problems with the school calendar, it is wise to discuss the leave with your principal before filling out the form. Every effort will be made to provide some form of remuneration for professional leave.

PROFESSIONAL LENGTH OF DAY: As per contract, the teacher day is thirty minutes longer than the student day. For Elementary teachers, it is 8:20am – 4:05pm. For Secondary teachers it is 7:25am – 3:10pm.

Speak with your building principal regarding questions about the professional length of day for para-educators, aides and other non-certified staff.

Bus and other professional duties will alter the time accordingly.

PROMOTION / RETENTION: See School Board Policy 5410.

PTO: Please note when PTO meetings are held and direct parents who want to volunteer to the appropriate PTO Board Members. Please follow PTO guidelines when applying for a grant and maintain professionalism with these dedicated parent volunteers at all times.

PUBLICITY (Speaking to the Media): All publicity concerning any aspect of our school which may appear in a media outlet must be cleared with the principal. If publicity pertains to all schools, it should be cleared through the Central Administration.

PURCHASING POLICY: No purchases should be made without the consent of the principal. Forms for this purpose are available in the office or the mailroom.

9

Page 10: GENERAL INFORMATION€¦  · Web viewFINAL DRAFT SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION. ... The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students

Any purchase made without permission will become the obligation of the person encumbering the bill. Sales tax will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.

See Section 2 “Purchasing Policy” for how to purchase needed items for your classroom or students in your building.

REPORT CARDS: Report cards will be sent home at the end of each designated term. Faculty must use Skyward to generate report cards. Please be cautious about comments inserted into report cards; stay positive. Comments about concerns should not come as a surprise to parents. Use professional judgment to determine what comments may be better understood through personal contact. See Section 2 “Master Calendar” to note report card dates.

SAFE SCHOOL PLANS: Safe School Plans are on file in the office and will be discussed with faculty throughout the year. Some faculty members will be asked to serve on the Safe School Committee, or have specific roles during a school emergency.

SMOKING: There is no smoking on school property, including in parking lots.

SPECIAL EDUCATION: Referral for Testing: Before any referral for testing, a student must go through the M-Team (Multi-disciplinary Team) (or STAT) process. The decision to test or not will be made by this team, and parents notified in accordance with Article 7.

School Psychologist will test the student: The MCCSC psychometrist will conduct the testing within a time limit. He/she will only test those areas that were discussed during the M-Team conference. Teachers should complete questionnaires about the student or behavior rating scales in a timely fashion.

Case Conference: The Public Agency Rep, usually an administrator or designee, will conduct this conference. Input will be taken from the school psychometrist, parents, and teachers; a special education teacher will also be in attendance. The parents have the right to also bring anyone whom they feel has appropriate input about the child and his/her learning abilities.

If any member(s) attending the conference disagrees with the proposed decision, he/she has the right to write a signed dissenting opinion. The Director of Special Education will review the case and make a decision. Parents may contest with the Dept. of Education.

STAT(Student-Teacher Assistance Team)/ TAT(Teacher Assistance Team)/Peer Support Teams/BAT(Behavior Assistance Teams): These teams exist to assist teachers when they have concerns about a student’s academic progress or behavior. When these assistance teams meet, it will be facilitated by an administrator, or designee, resulting in an action plan. Follow-up should occur after two weeks. If the teacher would like some advice or suggestions on how to work with the student or if the teacher feels the student may qualify for special education, the teacher may make a referral. The referral should be given to the appropriate counselor or administrator.

STUDENT TEACHERS: Student teachers from Indiana University will begin using a co-teaching model in 2013-2014. Student teachers must be approved by a building administrator.

10

Page 11: GENERAL INFORMATION€¦  · Web viewFINAL DRAFT SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION. ... The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students

STUDENT SUPERVISION AND WELFARE: (Board Policy 3213): Professional staff

members shall maintain a standard of care for the supervision, control, and protection of students commensurate with their assigned duties and responsibilities and are expected to establish and maintain professional staff-student boundaries that are consistent with their legal, professional and ethical duty of care for students. The Superintendent shall maintain and enforce the following standards:A. A professional staff member shall immediately report to a building administrator any accident, safety hazard, or other

potentially harmful condition or situation s/he detects.

B. A professional staff member shall provide proper instruction in safety matters as presented in assigned course guides.

C. Each professional staff member shall immediately report to a building administrator knowledge of threats of violence by students.

D. A professional staff member shall not send students on any personal errands.

E. A professional staff member shall not associate or fraternize with students at any time in a manner that may give the appearance of impropriety, including, but not limited to, the creation or participation in any situation or activity that could be considered abusive or sexually suggestive or involve harmful substances such as illegal drugs, alcohol or tobacco. Any sexual or other inappropriate conduct with a student by any staff member will subject the offender to potential criminal prosecution and disciplinary action by the Board up to and including termination of employment.

F. If a student approaches a staff member to seek advice or to ask questions regarding a personal problem related to sexual behavior, substance abuse, mental or physical health, and/or family relationship, etc., the staff member may attempt to assist the student by facilitating contact with certified or licensed individuals in the Corporation who specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of the student's stated problem. Any staff member who determines that a student is in need of services shall report the matter to appropriate authorities. However, under no circumstances should a staff member attempt, unless properly licensed and authorized to do so, to counsel, assess, diagnose, or treat the student's problem or behavior, nor should any such staff member inappropriately disclose personally identifiable information concerning the student to third persons not specifically authorized by law.

G. A professional staff member shall not transport students in a private vehicle without the approval of the principal.

H. A student shall not be required to perform work or services that may be detrimental to his/her health.

I. Staff members shall only engage in electronic communication with students via email, texting, social media and/or online networking media, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, MySpace, Skype, blogs, etc., when such communication is directly related to curricular matters or co-curricular/extra-curricular events with prior approval of the principal.

J. Staff members are prohibited from electronically transmitting any personally identifiable image of a student(s), including video, photographs, streaming video, etc. via email, text message, or through the use of social media and/or online networking media, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, MySpace, Skype, blogs, etc., unless such transmission has been made as part of a pre-approved curricular matter or co-curricular/extracurricular event or activity such as a school-sponsored publication or production in accordance with School Board Policy 5722.

Since most information concerning a child in school, other than directory information described in School Board Policy 8330, is confidential under Federal and State laws, any staff member who shares confidential information with another person not authorized to receive the information may be subject to discipline and/or civil liability. This includes, but is not limited to, information concerning assessments, grades, behavior, family background, alleged child abuse, and any other record information.Pursuant to the laws of the State and School Board Policy 8462, each professional staff member shall report to the proper legal authorities immediately, any sign of suspected child abuse or neglect.

SUSPECTED ABUSE/Other student safety concerns: If a child reports to you that he/she (or another student) has been abused or neglected in any way (or if you suspect abuse or neglect) by a parent or someone inside or outside the school, it is necessary that this information gets to a school social worker or administrator before the end of that same school day. Please make a voice to voice (on the phone or in person) contact

11

Page 12: GENERAL INFORMATION€¦  · Web viewFINAL DRAFT SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION. ... The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students

with a social worker or Principal as soon as possible before the end of the school day. Please DO NOT email, voice-mail, text message, or write a note to a social worker or administrator regarding a student victim of child abuse. (Please note that until this is communicated in person to a social worker or administrator you are professionally responsible for the student’s well-being.)

If a student comes to you with spoken or written suicidal or homicidal thoughts, do not leave the child alone. Escort the child to a social worker or principal, or be sure the child is with someone while you contact the social worker or principal.

TEACHER DRESS CODE: Clothing may not “make a man or a woman,” but studies have shown that teachers dressed as professionals receive more respect from students than those who do not. Except for special occasions or for a unique unit or lesson, there is no reason for dressing down, i.e. sweatpants, or overalls. We should look neat and be well groomed as people in charge of students. Make the first impression students and parents have one of a professional.

TECHNOLOGY: Teachers are expected to utilize technology in their classrooms and access the variety of tech support that is available to them through the Information Services Dept.

TEXTBOOKS: Each teacher should issue textbooks to students. It is the teacher’s responsibility to make a record of each book distributed. Teachers should record his/her name on the inside of each textbook so textbooks can be returned if found. When textbooks are collected, each teacher must notify the designated office staff member of any lost or damaged books.

Textbooks will be stored in the teacher’s room at the end of the school year. If a textbook will not be used for the following year, copies need to be boxed and labeled appropriately. Administration will direct staff on how to dispose of old textbooks.

TICKET TAKING AT EVENTS: All schools often have events (athletic events, ticketed musical programs) that require people to purchase tickets. If you are taking tickets, note the following: Look over the ticket options available and note which colored ticket goes to which age group. Children under the age of 6 are not charged. You should keep half of the ticket, and give the other half to the customer.

If there is a question as to how long to take money, ask the administrator on duty. At the end of the duty, turn in the ticket box to the administrator on duty. Do not take the money box home, do not leave it with the custodian, or do not leave it in the building.

USE OF TOBACCO BY PROFESSIONAL STAFF: (excerpt from Board policy 3215): In order to protect students and staff who choose not to use tobacco from an environment noxious to them, and because the School Board cannot, even by indirection, condone the use of tobacco, the School Board prohibits the use of tobacco by professional staff members in school buildings at all times. Such prohibition also applies:

A. On school grounds;B. On school buses;C. At any school-related event.

12

Page 13: GENERAL INFORMATION€¦  · Web viewFINAL DRAFT SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION. ... The School Board discourages the presentation of gifts to professional staff members by students

VISITORS / VOLUNTEERS: Visitors are welcome and must check in at the front office. Please notify office staff if your classroom is expecting a visitor. All volunteers must have a criminal history background check. If they will be working with students under a staff member’s direct supervision at all times, or if they will not be interacting with children at all, they may complete a Limited Criminal History Check. If they will be working with children while not directly supervised, they must complete a Complete Criminal History

WEAPONS: (excerpt from School Board policy 3217): The possession of a firearm in or on school property, in or on property that is being used by a school for a school function, or on a school bus is a felony (I.C. 35-47-9-2) and is prohibited by School Board policy. Possession includes storing the firearm in a personal vehicle while on school property. This prohibition applies to all employees including those who have a personal protection permit to carry a handgun.

Faculty Resources /DVDs, MOVIES AND AUDIOVISUALS; (CHECK OUT)If you need anything when the circulation system is turned off, please use the clipboard by the phone at the circulation desk. Write your name and the barcode number on the item. (It looks like a UPC symbol.)

Literature sets are available to check out and are grouped by grade level. They are in the big av closet. (It works better if the books are checked out by the students, under their library accounts and not yours.)

We have tvs, vcrs/dvd players, and 2 projectors on carts available. These are also stored in the av closet. The vcr/dvd players may be connected to the box in your room if you want to use a video. If you borrow a tv or vcr/dvd player, please write down what you are using on the bulletin board in the av closet.

There is also a small Professional Collection in the av closet. Most of these items have barcodes for check out.

If you need several resources for a unit of study, please give Melinda 24-48 hour notice. Please send an email or use a request form located on the side of the staff mailboxes.

STUDENT TARDIES: If a student arrives after 8:35 (9:35 on Wednesdays) and has not been to the office, they must return to the office and get a tardy slip. Ms. Wright will record the tardy in Skyward. If a student is picked up to go home between 3:35 and 3:50, they will be marked with a PM tardy. (A “tardy” is the best way to keep track of this loss of classtime in Skyward. We use this for lack of a better term.)
