Fox Valley Fun Night!Kids can enjoy a parent-free night while parents get a night out! Staff members provide fun-filled activities in the gymnastics room. Kids enjoy playing on the blow-up air trak, weaving through challenging obstacle
courses, playing supervised and structured activities, games and watching a movie. Kids are encouraged to bring a peanut-free snack, pillow or sleeping bag for movie time. Parent sign-in and sign-out is required. Registration must be done in person. (KB)

Lights, Camera, Action – Making Your Own Harry Potter™ MovieWhat’s the next adventure for Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione? It’s up to you! We will create our own Harry Potter™ movie using special movie making cameras and software. As directors and producers we will work in teams to create our own story and script, build scenes out of LEGO, use LEGO Harry Potter mini figures as characters and film our own movie. We will use graphic editing techniques and stop motion animation, add background noise and music, and show our movie at a private screening on the last day of class. Have your final movie posted on the COMPUTER EXPLORERS YouTube channel to be viewed by friends and family near and far. Class is taught by Computer Explorers. (KB)

Cards & GamesMagic: The Gathering – Open GymMagic: The Gathering — one of the oldest and best trading card games — can be as intellectually challenging as chess but adds a creative aspect. In this class junior scientists will investigate renewable energy sources as well as kinetic and potential energy. Students will build models such as solar-powered windmills and air-powered cranes using science,
technology, engineering and math concepts. This program is led by the teacher, with instructions followed by fun, engaging and dynamic activities. They will learn how to write a thank you note, how to make introductions, telephone manners, table and restaurant manners and the fine art of conversation.
