Due to the woven horizontal vanes and the front to back panel configuration, the front panel of Allure Transitional Shades may sometimes appear to wave or bow. This deflection may be more apparent in certain fabric types and in larger width shades. This is not a defect, but inherent to the construction of the shade.

Shade Operation Pull on the back of the chain to lower the shade. Once the shade reaches the full length, the view can be adjusted. Continue pulling until the Sundown material is exposed. The view can be adjusted to show all or part of the Sundown material by pulling on front of beaded chain.


Caution • When transitioning from light-filtering to room-darkening fabric, the bottom rail will drop below the ordered length. Once completely lowered, the bottom rail will raise back to its ordered length. The extra drop experienced during transition can distort and damage the fabric if the bottom rail hits the window sill. • Fabric Covered Sundown Cassette - Will have sheer and solid fabric layered to create a unique appearance (See photo below). CautionPlace the fabric preserving tab on the edge of a solid fabric vane at the optimal operation level of the shade. Always avoid direct contact with the fabric. Natural oils found in our skin can cause even clean hands to leave permanent stains on some fabrics.

Shade OperationTransitional Shade sidelights are operated by gently pulling up or down on the fabric preserving tab placed on a solid fabric vane. Moving this tab up or down will cause the fabric to begin rotating around stationary rails mounted directly to the top and bottom of the sidelight. Oeko-TexTM Rating for Mirage Fabric The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 provides the textile and clothing industry

with a globally uniform standard for the objective assessment of harmful substances. Raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of processing throughout the manufacturing chain, including accessories, are tested and certified. Certification is obtained by application in writing from the manufacturer to one of the authorized test institutes or official offices around the globe. The samples submitted are tested exclusively in the member institutes in Europe and Japan in order to ensure a consistently high level of testing. The mark "Confidence in Textiles - Test for harmful substances according to Oeko-Text Standard 100" states that the marked product fulfills the conditions specified in this standard, are under the supervision of an institute belonging to the International Association for Research and Testing in the field of Textile Ecology (Oeko-Tex). The mark is not a quality label. The mark relates only to the as-produced state of the textile and says nothing about other properties of the product such as e.g. fitness for use, reaction to cleaning processes, physiological behaviour in respect to clothing, properties relating to use in buildings, burning

behaviour etc.

Best Practices for Measuring • Always use a steel tape or a metal ruler for measuring. • Always measure every window even though they look the same. • Check for obstructions that could affect operation of the shade. • For Inside Mount (jamb to jamb in a window or door, wall to wall, in a room), give exact inside to inside width measurements, and top to bottom length measurements of the area to be covered. • Measure the width in at least three places and specify the narrowest width. • Measure the length in at least three places and specify the shortest length. • Take two diagonal measurements. If there is a greater than 3/8" difference in diagonal measurements, outside mount is strongly recommended to avoid irregular light gaps. • For Outside Mount, measure the exact width and height of the area to be covered.

Measuring for Allure Shades • All shade pricing is based on the width and the window opening height. Orders are accepted for inside or outside dimensions, to the nearest 1/16". • It is critical that the shade brackets be mounted so that the shade is level when installed. • For an Inside Mount, measure the exact width between the jambs (inside) where the shade is to be mounted. If the end caps are not tightly secured it is possible the shade will not fit in the opening. • For an Outside Mount, we recommend that the brackets be placed to allow a minimum of 1 1/2" to 2" overlap on each side of the casement. Measure between the point where the brackets are to be placed and specify that as an outside width. • For Length, measure the full length of the window opening from the top frame to the lower sill to determine your window length.

Allure Care & Cleaning The operating system of the Allure Transitional Shade dusts the fabric when the panel is rotated thereby reducing the care necessary for

the shade. The shade can be feather dusted or vacuumed at a low setting. Allure fabrics are primarily Polyester. Spots can be cleaned with a damp sponge and mild soap. To avoid discoloration, do not use chemical

cleaners. Ultrasonic cleaning is not recommended.

LAFAYETTE WARRANTY

Lafayette Venetian Blind, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that its products, properly measured, installed and maintained in the window/door will be free from defect in materials and workmanship from the date of sale to the original purchaser for the period shown below, based upon product type.

The obligation of Lafayette Venetian Blind, Inc. and its dealers is limited to repair or replacement of the internal mechanisms, components and brackets found to be defective when the product is returned to Lafayette Venetian Blind, Inc. at the expense of the original purchaser within the warranty period stated above. Repairs will be made with like or similar parts. Discontinued components or colors will be replaced with closest equivalent current product.

Operational cords on Lafayette products are warranted for 7 years from the date of purchase. All repairs and remakes will conform to current child safety requirements. If the repair or remake is outside the 7 year operational cord warranty then any costs to conform to child safety guidelines are the responsibility of the dealer. Fabric delamination is also covered within the warranty period stated above.

This warranty does NOT include any conditions caused by normal wear and tear or damages resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, misapplication, exposure to the elements (sun damage, wind/water/moisture) and discoloration or fading over time). Failure to follow instructions for measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance void the warranty. The product can only be used in the window/door for which it was originally purchased. Lafayette Venetian Blind, Inc. will not be liable for trip charges, measuring, disassembly, removal, reassembly or reinstallation of this product, nor for damage or loss to other property.

This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities, or warranties. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state. In some states the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages may not apply.

To obtain warranty service, contact an authorized Lafayette dealer. The dealer will work with Lafayette Venetian Blind, Inc. to promptly repair or replace any defective parts or components without charge. Warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase.

DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF WARRANTIES AND REMEDIESTHERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF.

THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH IN THIS “LAFAYETTE WARRANTY” STATEMENT ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHICH WARRANTIES ARE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMED BY LAFAYETTE VENETIAN BLIND, INC.

THE SOLE OBLIGATION OF LAFAYETTE VENETIAN BLIND, INC., AND THE SOLE REMEDY OF ANY ORIGINAL PURCHASER FOR ANY CLAIMED BREACH OF WARRANTY, DEFECT OR NONCONFORMITY OF PRODUCT (REGARDLESS OF THE NATURE OF SUCH CLAIM, AND INCLUDING CLAIMS OF BREACH OF WARRANTY, CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, AND ALL OTHER CLAIMS) SHALL BE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER’S RIGHT TO RETURN ANY NONCONFORMING PRODUCT TO LAFAYETTE VENETIAN BLIND, INC., IN EXCHANGE FOR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF SAID PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LIMITED EXPRESS WARRANTY STATED IN THIS “LAFAYETTE WARRANTY.” IN NO EVENT SHALL LAFAYETTE VENETIAN BLIND, INC., BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES, WHETHER DIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL, TO ANY ORIGINAL PURCHASER OR ANY OTHER PARTY, ARISING OUT OF SALE OR USE OF PRODUCTS SOLD BY LAFAYETTE VENETIAN BLIND, INC., WITH THE LIMITED EXPRESS WARRANTIES SET FORTH IN THIS “LAFAYETTE WARRANTY” STATEMENT.

Lafayette will, at our discretion, repair or replace the window fashions product or components found to be defective. Product warranties DO NOT imply replacement of the product.

Product returned to Lafayette must comply with the Return Product Packaging Policy.Lafayette will not be responsible for removal charges, reinstallation charges or shipping costs incurred.
