North Florida HIDTA closed three narcotics/drug trafficking cases in the first month of Geofeedia access. They also used the tool for a U.S. Coast Guard stolen property case and consequently found intel on a major ongoing drug trafficking case.

Using Geofeedia, Yaeger Airport (WV) Security identified two Asian nationals taking hundreds of photos of TSA security. Security was able to detain and question the two individuals before harmful action took place.

LAPD was using Geofeedia to monitor the LA Dodgers playoff series against the St. Louis Cardinals. In the parking lot, they identified a threatening post of an individual holding an AR-15. Within 5 minutes, LAPD sent SWAT and was able to detain the suspect for further questioning.

The Tempe Police Department used Geofeedia in a case involving a teen threatening to “shoot up” his school. They also used Geofeedia during “Operation Safe & Sober.”

When a 14 year old female committed suicide, Polk County Sheriff’s Office used Geofeedia to find the two other individuals who were responsible for cyber bullying.

The Virginia Beach Police Department used Geofeedia while working on an armed robbery case and identified graffiti posts which resulted in the arrest of the original suspect.

When an individual made threatening comments on social media about killing his boss, the Corona Police Department used Geofeedia to identify the location of the individual and were able to detain and question him before anything happened.

During the recent West Virginia chemical spill, the West Virginia Intelligence Fusion Center gathered thousands of misleading posts and tweets. Very rapidly, the fusion center and National Guard reached out to these individuals to provide them with true information about consuming water at the time.

In Sacramento, an officer came across a post of a kid with a gun. The info was given to SWAT, a probation search was conducted, and they found the gun and made the arrest.

An officer in Sacramento obtained information from Geofeedia involving a subject selling heroin and other controlled substances. A search warrant was signed and served, at which time powder cocaine, heroin, and various other controlled substances were located, along with text messages and photographs that were indicative of sales. The suspect was arrested.

A follow-up search of the cell phone yielded information about a FedEx package containing heroin being overnighted to the residence, along with text messages from a dealer. Search warrants were served for both of these locations as well.
