Before  you  start  

Before  a4emp7ng  to  install  your  GeoLok  

on  a  shipping  container,  the  Lock  must  be  “Unlocked”  and  “Unlatched”.

Verify  an  “Unlatched”  condi7on  by  squeezing  the  Latch  Release

 Squeezing  the  Latch  Release  against  the  Carry  Handle  opens  the  Latch.

Square  Drive    Verify  an  “Unlocked”  condi7on  by  pushing  in  the  Square  Drive  

Socket  

If  the  Square  Drive  will  not  

push  in,  the  Lock  is  in  a  “Locked”  

condi7on;  a  valid  Unlock  code  is  needed  

before  proceeding.

Before  you  start  If  the  GeoLok  is  Unlocked  and  Unlatched  with  no  tension  on  the  hook  then  the  “Lock”,  “Latch”,  and  “Status”    LEDs  

will  be  blinking  in  unison.

GeoLok  

Locking  &  Latching  

Open  the  Latch  by  squeezing  the  Latch  Release,  and  then  posi7on  the  GeoLok  on  the  container  doors.    

While  s7ll  holding  the  Latch  open,  allow  the  Latch  mechanism  to  se4le  on  the  right  door  bar.

Locking  &  Latching  

Be  sure  that  the  Latch  is  fully  closed  by  verifying  that  the  Latch  Release  has  returned  to  its  normal  posi7on  before  leRng  go  of  the  GeoLok.  

 The  Lock  may  se4le  slightly  toward  the  bo4om  of  the  container,  but  it  should  stay  mounted.

To  install  and  lock  successfully,  the  hook  must  extend  past  the  Locking  Bar  on  the  leT  door.

Using  the  Four  Bu4on  Key  Pad  on  the  top  of  the  Lock,  enter  the  8  digit  “Latch”  Code.

Busy  LED  

While  you  are  entering  the  Latch  Code,  the  “Busy”  LED    will  light.

When  the  “Latch”  motor  is  running,  the  Busy  LED  will  blink  rapidly.  Any  bu4on  pushes  entered  while  the  Busy  LED  is  

blinking  will  be  ignored.

Installing  your  GeoLok   ATer  the  GeoLok  is  Latched,  the  “Lock”  and  “Status”  LEDs  

will  s7ll  be  in  unison,  but  the  “Latch”  LED  will  be  flashing  out  of  sync  with  the  others.

ready  to  Lock

Tightening  the  Hook

Locking    your  GeoLok  A  3/8”  “Speed  Wrench”  is  included  with  your  GeoLok,  but  

any  standard  3/8”  square  drive  tool  will  work.

Locking    your  GeoLok  

Status  LED  

Push  the  wrench  into  the  Square  Drive  Socket,  forcing  the  Square  Drive  to  engage  the  internal  locking  mechanism.  

 The  Status  LED  will  flash  when  the  wrench  is  engaged  with  

the  Drive.

Locking    your  GeoLok  While  pushing  in  firmly  on  the  wrench,  turn  the  wrench  “clock-­‐wise”  to  7ghten  the  Locking  Hook,  making  sure  that  the  Locking  Hook  engages  the  Locking  Bar  on  the  leT  door

Locking    your  GeoLok   Con7nue  to  7ghten  un7l  the  clutch  releases  and  the  Square  Drive  Socket  slips.

Locking    your  GeoLok  If  the  Locking  Hook  is  properly  tensioned,  the  “Latch”  and  “Status”  LEDs  will  now  be  flashing  in  unison.  The  “Lock”  LED  will  be  out  of  sync  with  the  other  two.
