CIRCLE
*A plane shape bounded by continuous lines which is always the same distance from the center.
* The tuba is a clear example of a circle.
TREE REFLECTION
*The mirror image of a figure that has been flipped over a line.
* The tree has a reflection.
*Congruent means having the same shape and the same size.
* As you can see the chairs are the same shape and size.
CONGRUENT
TESSELLATION
*Tessellation is a pattern of shapes that fit together without any gaps.
* This basketball court fits together without any gaps.
ACUTE ANGLE
*An angle measuring less than 90 degrees.
*The two fan panels make an acute angle.
PARALLEL
*Lines that are the same distance apart, they go on and on forever.
* The orange lines on the hurdle are parallel.
SPHERE
* A three dimensional solid that is perfectly round.
* This tree house is a good example of a sphere.
SQUARE
*A quadrilateral with four equal sides and four right angles.
* As you can see these 12 shapes show many examples of squares
TRIANGLE
*A polygon with three angles and three sides.
* The outside outline of the flower is a triangle
INTERSECTING LINES
* Lines that cross at a point
* The peace sign has intersecting lines.
