Working between Copenhagen, Baku, Perth, Singapore, Manila and Dubai, I managed all European procurement and logistics for the entirety of Maersk Drilling and the Egyptian Drilling Company. I was responsible for our teams of procurement and logistics agents in their respective global offices. This was a challenging role in which I had to marry the commercial, operational and logistics requirements of Maersk Drilling/EDC with the over-arching procurement philosophy, and provide value from a grass roots, shore-based level up to the more commercially sensitive large-scale procurement projects. I reported at VP management level.
