Case study: successful company formation and interim managementEstablishment of the daughter company of a German maker of machines and technicaldevices in Qingdao (several hundred thousand EUR registered capital) by GER-LINConsulting and Gerd Burkard as an interim General Manager. First GER-LIN made alocation analysis, then the chosen rental property (workshop, around 1100 m²) waschecked and the lease contract was negotiated, while at the same time the companywas legally formed. After that the entire fit out and furnishing of the work shop and officewas managed and the staff were recruited from driver to production manager. ThenGerd Burkard formed and trained a motivated and reliable Chinese team with whom heestablished the company: manufacture / assembly, ware house, accounting, IT,sourcing / purchasing, human resources, administration in Qingdao and a sales &service branch in Shanghai. He also met the target of relocating the production of acomplete range of technical devices from Germany to Qingdao, generating over 80% ofthe added value in China. The project was completed in less than 2 years.
