Application• Gerband sd2 control® is used indoors as a vapor barrier in order to build an

airtight barrier for the protection of the construction according to DIN 4108.

• Gerband sd2 control® ful� lls the requirements of the EnEV and may easily be used for new buildings as well as for renovation of old buildings.

• The CE sign according to DIN EN 13984 gives the necessary security for the application on the construction site according to all valid requirements of the EnEV and construction standards.

DescriptionGerband sd2 control® enables the secure building of roof and wall constructions. Gerband sd2 control® provides a good and secure desiccation of the const-ruction immediately after installation and therewith prevents backwater caused by building and residual moisture that facilitates mildew growth and construc-tional damages.

Gerband sd2 control® supports the back diffusion when the diffusion current returns into direction of the room side and enables therewith a high desicca-tion potential during summery weather.

As a universally suitable and pliable tape, Gerband 586 may especially be used for bonding barrier overlaps, penetrations and repair spots.Connections to the constructional elements may generally be realized with the products of our Gerband rooftite® system. Our universally formable butyl-rubber tape Gerband 605 is especially effective for penetrations and the sheeting adhesive FORTAX® 6400 is especially effective for all connections.

The excellent ageing resistance of this high quality material secures the function over years.
