Kein Fleisch und keine Wurst

Vier von hundert Erwachsenen in Deutschland sind Vegetarier. Unter den Frauen sind 6,1 % Vegetarierinnen, Männer dagegen ernähren sich nur zu 2,5 % fleischlos.

In den letzten Jahren ist es in Deutschland viel einfacher geworden, vegetarisch zu essen. Ging ein Vegetarier früher in ein Restaurant, dann hatte er keine große Auswahl. Für ihn gab es oft nur Omelett mit Pilzen und Käse. Heute sieht man aber nicht nur viel mehr vegetarische sondern auch interessante Gerichte auf der Speisekarte, zum Beispiel Bohneneintopf und Thai‐Gemüsecurry.

Und wer genau isst kein Fleisch? Das sind vor allem 18‐ bis 29‐Jährige und Frauen von 60 bis 69 Jahren. Diese Studie, die das Robert Koch‐Institut vorgestellt hat, zeigt außerdem, dass Menschen in Großstädten und Menschen, die Sport treiben, oft vegetarisch leben.

KiRaKa ‐ Radio nur für Kinder

1. Ein Radio, nur für Kinder und Jugendliche? Ja, das gibt es! Seit dem 1. Januar 2016 sendet der Radiosender täglich rund um die Uhr. KiRaKa, das steht für KinderRadioKanal – das Kanal für Kinder und Jugendliche zwischen 5 und 18 Jahren. Man kann KiRaKa in der ganzen Welt hören, weil es ein Webradiosender ist. Dazu braucht man nur das Internet und ein Smartphone. Unter www.KiRaKa.de geht das auch. Dort kann man alle Sendungen im Podcast finden.

2. KiRaKa bietet ein vielfältiges Programm. Ein bunter Mix aus spannenden Geschichten, Reportagen, aktuellen Nachrichten und Sportveranstaltungen aus Deutschland und der ganzen Welt. Dazu gibt es Wetterberichte, Feste und natürlich jede Menge Musik. Elke Schneider arbeitet bei KiRaKa und erklärt, was an den Nachrichten so besonders ist: „Wir wollen den Kindern und Jugendlichen die Nachrichten und Neuigkeiten aus der ganzen Welt geben. Aber wir berichten so, dass Kinder alles leicht verstehen können. Einmal in der Woche gibt es die Nachrichten sogar auf Französisch!“

3. Besonders wichtig ist die Musik auf KiRaKa, wo nicht nur deutsche sondern auch internationale Hits laufen. Sehr beliebt bei den Zuhörern ist der Popdolmetscher. Der Grund dafür erklärt uns Elke: „Da übersetzen wir regelmäßig englischsprachige Texte ins Deutsche, wie zum Beispiel aktuelle Lieder von Ed Sheeran oder Dua Lipa. Wir erklären und diskutieren auch, worüber da auf Englisch gesungen wird.“

4. Sehr interessant ist auch das Thema des Tages. Jeden Tag wird ein neues Thema genau diskutiert. Es geht dabei um Umwelt, Politik, Sport, Religion, Rassismus oder andere soziale Probleme, aber auch um gesundes Essen, Pubertät und Liebe. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Hört einfach mal rein, und viel Spaß!
