Get Involved- Advocacy, Awareness and Fundraising• Advocacy
– speaking up politically, educating, and raising awareness
– engaging others affected by HD, building a nationwide movement and getting results
– (Advocacy Session 2:10pm- Harriet)
• Awareness– May is HD Awareness Month – Attending Events – Getting new volunteers involved – Speaking engagements
• Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis, Jaycees, NHS, Greek Organizations, Church Groups

Volunteer Opportunity: Family Services Committee• To provide oversight and guidance for the family and
support services provided by the Chapter within the state of Minnesota.
• The Family Services Committee is to meet a minimum of 1 time per quarter. Alternating months that the Chapter Board meets so the committee can report progress and updates to the board.
• At the beginning of the year, the committee should set goals for services provided and/or events/initiatives aimed towards building awareness or providing optimal community support throughout the year.
