GETTING THERE

FlightsWe will depart from Pittsburgh International Airport(PIT) and arrive in Rome, Italy( FCO). We will make 3 stops on our way, traveling a total of 13 hours. The total amount will be $2,299.20. We will depart on May 31, 2013.

PassportAn adult passport is $110 for the application fee and $25 for the execution fee. There are seven steps to applying for a passport. First you have to fill out a DS-11 form. Next you have to submit DS-11 form in person. Third you have to submit your evidence of US citizenship. Forth you have to Present your identification. Fifth you have to submit a photocopy of the identification documents presented in step number four. Sixth you have to pay the applicable fee. Finally, you have to provide a passport photo.

Immunization informationMMR stands for measles, mumps, and rubella. Italy

has recorded frequent outbreaks of measles in ones who are not fully immunized. Travelers that are 57 or older should make sure that they have received the two courses recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. The Tetanus and Diphtheria vaccination is recommended for any traveler who has not received a vaccination or booster for the past 10 years. Flu vaccination is recommended for any travelers over 6 months during flu season. Physicians recommend receiving any vaccinations or health advice four to six weeks before you travel to Italy.

LIVING THERE

My house!My house is right near the Spanish Steps. It

is a quiet apartment with a large terrace. It is a two bedroom apartment with one bathroom and four people can sleep in it. For $49.00 a month this apartment is a perfect place for me to stay.

Why the Spanish Steps?The Spanish Steps is a safe environment. It is also a

very popular place for tourists to stay. The apartment is located in the best and fanciest part of the center of Rome, 5 minutes walking distance from Rome's nicest shops. The central Spanish Steps Metro station is also at five minutes walking distance. There is a small supermarket in Via Vittoria, four blocks away from the apartment.A few blocks away from the apartment you will find Villa Borghese, a large, green historic park scattered with ancient statues and century old trees. Therefore, this apartment seems like the ideal place for me to live on my trip to Rome.

GETTINGAROUND

TransportationGetting around in Rome is no problem. There are

many bike ways on roads and sidewalks all throughout Rome. Bus and tram routes have crisscrossed the city interconnecting the landmarks, tourist spots, shopping streets, restaurants, hotels, entertainment zones and airports. Obviously traveling in a cars and taxis are available but there is heavy traffic all the time. To rent a bike it is either 20 eur or 30 eur. Bus fee is 6.00 EUR per ride. Tram fees are also 6.00 EUR. Cars, and taxis range depending on distance and type of car you get.

PLAYING AROUND

ENTERTAINMENTFour of the top restaurants in Rome are

Fortunato al Pantheon, Ditirambo Il, Convivio di Troianai, and La Tavernaccia.

Some top places to visit in Rome are Capitoline, the Colosseum, you can stroll through the gardens Villa Borghese, and throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain.
