Are you smart enough to be the Zoo Keeper?

How much do you know about animals? Well, if you want to be a Zoo Keeper, you better know a lot! This game tests your knowledge on animals commonly found in the Zoo. Everything from where they came from to if they are a mammal or reptile. Animals are a big part of our world and learning about them allows us to cohabitate with them safely. We are dependent on each other in many ways and living together is essential for our planet to run smoothly. The Zoo Keeper of the Athens Zoo has moved to Africa to study white tigers and the Zoo needs a replacement FAST! Help us find the new zoo keeper. It could even be YOU!

The object of this game is to answer as many questions correctly as you can in order to become the zoo keeper. You will roll the dice and each square you land on will have a question pertaining to animals you are studying in class. If you land on a square with an animal on it, you are in luck! You don’t have to answer a question. This square will give you five facts about this animal that will help you answer more questions in the future. You automatically get to move 2 spaces forward if you land on one of these squares. If you answer correctly on a regular square, you may move one space forward. If you answer incorrectly, move one space back. In order to move your game piece, a set of dice is included. Role one die at each turn.

Gorilla Fast Facts!

Gorillas are found in Africa. Gorillas like to climb trees. Gorillas are endangered species. Humans are more of a risk to gorillas than gorillas are to humans as we move into their habitat. Fruit is a great source of nutrition to the gorilla.

Giraffe Fast Facts!

Giraffes are cousins to the deer and cow. The Giraffe live in Africa and stand up to 20 feet tall. The Giraffe are not endangered species. The favorite meal of the Giraffe is leafy greens.

Zebras Fast Facts!

Zebras are well known for there strips on their coat. Zebras average life span is 25 years. The Zebra grazes on grass in herds with other Zebras. Zebras are mammals.

Lions Fast Facts!

The Lion can run up to 40 mph for a short time. Lions walk around for an average of 2 hours and eat for 50 minutes each day. The Lion is a powerful animal weighing 200-600 pounds.
